iPC-Fanless Series Summary
The iPC-Series Embedded High Performance Industrial PCs replaced the very
successful ePC-Series a little over one year ago. However, the ePC Fanless
with ATOM N270 had not been updated until now. Fanless and Solid State
Drives have become popular options providing high reliability and lower
typical power usage. Although a solid CPU performer in most industrial
cases, the single core ATOM N270 has proven to be underpowered for more
robust Windows 7-based applications. In order to address this issue,
Nematron added a new Fanless Dual Core ATOM N2800 processor option
to the iPC-Series. This new ATOM N2800 CPU offers over twice the
PassMark® performance scores than the previous generation ATOM N270.
The new iPC Fanless also takes advantage of the many improvements and
enhancements previously noted in Nematron’s ePC-to-iPC continuous
improvement strategy. With four sizes to choose from (12”, 15”, 17”, & 19”)
and a display-less node version, these ultra-thin industrial PCs can be used
in many different applications, even Class I Division 2 Hazardous Locations.
The iPC Fanless continues Nematron’s mission of supplying superior quality,
state-of-the-art Industrial PCs that are built and supported in the USA.
