BRITISH ISLES FIELD SCHOOL 2014. SPEND 3 WEEKS IN THE U.K. AND IRELAND…. EARN 6 HOURS OF UNT CREDIT. THE 6 HOURS CREDIT CAN BE USED BY GEOGRAPHY MAJORS OR NON-MAJORS - CONTACT THE INSTRUCTOR FOR MORE DETAILS.

The field school will be in July of 2014. There are 5 base cities - Plymouth, Cork, Galway, Bangor and Edinburgh (in England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland). In each city, you will conduct supervised one-day human and one-day physical geography exercises (examples: measuring cliff erosion near Cork; historical geography of Cork city). There is also a "free day" at each location.

Cost: Approximately $3,800. This covers all travel in the UK and Ireland, accommodation, tuition and class materials. It does not include food (about $20/day), spending money or airfare (about $1300). $150 due on signing up, the rest by spring 2014.

Financial Aid: International Education Fee Scholarships of about $500 are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

$3,800 - $1878 - $500 = $1400 Cost tuition scholarship Many students stay on in Europe after the field school for additional independent travel.
