What is the National
Administration System?
• The National Administration System (NAS) is a
system for lodging BERs to the National “BER
Register” as defined by Section 19(3) of S.I. No. 666
of 2006.

Automatic administrative and technical checks on BER
assessments
Keeps an account of BERs submitted by each assessor and
automatically charges assessors a fee of €25+ VAT for each
assessment published
Reporting function that supports the QA auditing process
Differences between Production
NAS and Training NAS
• The Training NAS is duplicate of the Production
system with following differences:
• Different URL http://bertraining.sei.ie
• No certificates generated
• “Training” appears at the top of each screen
• Assessments are not lodged to the National BER

Logging on to Training NAS
Problems with submissions
• Three common problems encountered with logging
on to Training NAS and lodging assessments:
•
The log on URL is: http://bertraining.sei.ie/
•
The password entered incorrect; recommended
you copy and paste it
•
The BER assessor and company number are not
entered correctly into DEAP assessment, or the
file name is changed

• Turn off the email option (not recommended for
Production NAS)

Q: Where are all BER training presentations posted?
A: All BER training presentations are posted on www.sei.ie/ber , click on Training
Provider, listed under Training Resources, SEI Presentations
Q: Is it possible to set a password to protect “Personal Settings” on the training
NAS?
A: No, this is not possible, with the exception of the differences already indicated in
this presentation, training system is designed to be a duplicate of the Production
NAS.
Q: Do assessors get an invoice for assessment they publish on NAS?
A: If an assessor publishes one or more BERs on NAS in any month, a VAT invoice
and statement detailing the number of BERs published will be issued by email to
that assessor on the first working day of the following month and a direct debit
will be made on the 20th of the month or the nearest working day thereafter.
Q: What would happen if I tried to lodge an assessment to NAS where the file
name had been changed from the default file name?
A: The assessment will be rejected by NAS.
