BEFORE you begin, PLAN… Decide where you will
integrate and present your portfolio and board…
• WHAT is the logical place to integrate each of them into
your presentation?
• PLANNING will help your presentation flow and appear
more organized = higher score
•WHEN/WHERE will you share/integrate your
portfolio of best works?
Portfolio
BEFORE you begin, PLAN… Decide where you want to
start…Academics? Future Plans?
• ACADEMICS paves the way if you’re not sure… and
provides logical flow
• FUTURE PLANS can be a good jumping off point – focus
presentation around your future and explain courses
taken and choices made…

considerable time and will help you feel more organized
and in control 

Who/where you did your project/mentorship?
What did you do?
What did you learn? – good and bad 
What you liked/didn’t like?


This is where you can state that you changed your future
plans because of your mentorship – not exactly what
you want to do… and why…
Visuals!!!! Need photos to document… Visuals
always draw your audience in
Closing Notes




Close with your future plans – everything you
have shared leads up to your future 
Reminds your
Restate your goals
audience what you
Summarize your presentation shared with them
Ask your audience if they have any questions –
be prepared to answer them. Remember you
were supposed to make them curious 
{


The sign of a good presentation is for your
audience to have questions – even if you go over
your time 
Thank them for coming in – shake their hand
Reminder


Before you start, set up a separate folder for
presentation and documents/files
Back up your presentation – save often and have
at least 2 working copies (server and USB) of
presentation and at least 1 previous (DRAFT)
copy


Consider saving your work as drafts w/dates so you
always have a back up should something happen…
Plan for the unexpected…
We can always delete drafts – takes less time (&
stress) than recreating
