NEW LEARNING
Tool #1: The Collaborative
Assessment Log
Purpose of the Collaborative Assessment Log
• The Collaborative Assessment Log guides us to reflect on,
prioritize, and address challenges in a constructive,
collaborative manner, and identify next steps.
• This tool supports a consistent, multi-step conversation that
focuses on identifying an effective roadmap for self-assessment,
problem-solving, commitment and follow-through.
• This tool provides ongoing evidence of your work together and
tells a story about the professional growth that is taking place.
The Collaborative Assessment Log Practice
• Year 1 coaches facilitate – Year 2 coaches reflect
• Based on your coaching experiences last year…
–What worked?
–What were the challenges?
–What are your next steps?
–What supports do you need?
–What about our time together was helpful for you?
