What is Yagya



A Yagya is a big combination of Rituals those were
widely performed in Vedic era by everyone as a
duty towards the nature, for prevention of evil
planetary influences as well as to have a successful
and bliss spiritual life.
Sages were performing these Yagyas as their
routine as well as also for third person in case the
person is unable to do Yagya himself.
The rituals or small Yagyas are still performed in
India in all the occasions like Festivals &
sacraments etc.
11
What is Yagya
Yagya means selfless
sacrificing of the ego,
selfishness & adopt
rational thinking,
human compassion &
dedicated creativity for
the welfare of all
12
What is done in a Yagya
• Vedic Mantra for a particular purpose is chanted in a
particular method, sound and in a particular
quantity.
• Fire sacrifice is done with the particular mantra
• Prayers are done
• Vedic Rituals are performed
• Donations are made
• 6 kinds of duties are performed to reach maximum
benefit to the person

Scientific Aspects of Yagna
The positive vibration of
mantras are taken up
in spiral form by up bound
heat radiation & collision
of sonic waves to
atmosphere(cosmic level)
25

Scientific Aspects of Yagya


Heat Energy – yagya’s fire
Sound Energy – Mantra.
physical, psychological and
spiritual benefits

The cosmic energy of sound contained in Mantra is activated
and expanded with the help of Yagna.

The fumigation of specific substances in the Yagna --- fire is a
scientific method of subtulization of matter into energy and
expanding its potential and positive effects in the surrounding
atmosphere.
Yagna literally means --- selfless sacrifice for noble
purposes.
26
Physical benefits of Yagya

Experimental studies show that the incidence of physical
ailments, sickness and disease are reduced in the houses,
where the Yagna (Agnihotra) is regularly performed because it
creates a pure, nutritional and medicinal atmosphere.

It renews the brain cells, revitalizes the skin, purifies blood
and prevents growth of pathogenic organisms.

Agnihotra is basically a healing process. ‘Heal the atmosphere
and the healed atmosphere will heal you.

41
Effect of Yagya on Subtle World
Yajna elevates the vital energy in the
atmosphere
 The energy(prana) expands all
around in the open space through the
energised spaces
 This prana is dissolved in air
**The larger the scale of yajna &
longer their duration the greater will
be the sublime & gross effects.

Effect of Yagya on Human beings




Mechanism :
Inhalation Therapy
Ionic Therapy
Phytochemicals/Antioxidant
44
Inhalation Therapy
• Principle:
• When warm moist air (steam) is applied to the
nose & throat, it begins to thin the mucous &
drain the sinuses.
• It is a fast acting process, without the
bothersome side effects of drowsiness or
rebound congestation.
• Modern Hospitals (hayfever, bronchitis,
commoncold, sinusitis)
45
Ionic Therapy



+ve ions causes suffocation, sickness, agitated &
aggressiveness as often found in crowded spots.
-ve ions are found in breezy atmosphere(on hills,
green villages, cool sea beaches, natural
waterfall).
It is found of the order of 200-400 negative
ions/cm3 at green belts of forest & cool & green
seabeaches .
46
Phytochemicals/Antioxidant
Oxidation
Damage & Death of cell
Free Radical Formation
Chain Reaction
Antioxidants terminate these chain reaction by
removing free radicals & inhibit other oxidation
Reactions.
