Dual Credit vs. AP Courses
 Dual credit classes are taught by ACC professors either at
Bowie or at an ACC campus. Upon successful completion of the
class, students earn both college and high school credit. Grade
of A or B, students earn an advanced measure
 AP classes are taught by trained teachers at Bowie using College
Board curriculum. Upon completion of the class AND a grade of
3+ on the AP test in May, students earn an advanced measure
and potentially college credit (some colleges only accept 4’s and
5’s)
 Both dual credit and AP classes are graded on a 5.0 scale
 Check with out of state schools for dual credit transfer
