Course Entry!
March 21st-28th
Selecting Your Courses in
To Log onto Naviance, go to
www.jbhs.org  Bulletin Board  Naviance Link for
Incoming 10th-12th Graders
Enter S+ Student ID # as your username and First
letter of last name +6 Digit Birthdate+ lowercase s as
your password
Example
• Student’s ID # is 12345, last name starts
with an R, and his birthdate is June 1,
1997.
• Username: S12345
• Password: R060197s
Computer Science Survey Link
• Please complete the 2 question Computer
Science survey.
• The following slides will show you how to
do this.
Click on the
About Me tab
Click on
Computer Science
Survey
Next, go to the Courses
tab
Click on:
Manage My Course Plans
Click on:
Add a new plan
* EVERYONE MUST DO THIS, EVEN IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A PLAN.
You want to Start a
brand new plan from
scratch.
Then click on Create
new draft plan.
There are several options, but
students MUST select 2014-2015
Course Contract.
Click choose
this one.
Choose your grade for NEXT year.
For example, if you are a 9th
grader this year, look at and edit
ONLY Grade 10.
Do not worry about the accuracy
of anything EXCEPT next year’s
classes.
To edit courses, click first on the
English tab.
Select your course for next
year.
You’ll see this prompt.
Check that it indicates your
grade level for next year.
Click Okay!
If you’ve chosen English II PreAP and
would like to change it to academic
English II, simply click on remove
from plan.
Then select English II from the list below.
Click on Add selected courses to
your draft plan.
Click Okay!
You’ve now added your English
course for next year.
Move on to the Math tab.
Select the Math course you will take
next year.
Then move to the Social Studies
tab.
Continue until you have selected 8
credits for next year, UNLESS you are a
junior or senior.
Juniors and seniors are allowed 2 offperiods.
If you are a junior or senior who wants
off-periods, select off periods under OFF
PERIODS.
Once you feel that your classes for next year are
accurate, click 3. review & finalize at the top of the
page.
Click on VIEW BY GRADE LEVEL
The classes for next year
should total 8 credits.
THE FINAL STEP IS VERY IMPORTANT!!
ONCE NEXT YEAR’S CLASSES ARE ACCURATE, CLICK ON
THE STAR MAKE THIS MY CURRENT PLAN.
Click Ok in the pop-up that says:
This will make the selected plan your current plan.
Important Information
• Once you have selected at least 8 courses,
including off periods, your entries are
automatically saved in Naviance.
• This completes course entry for the 2014-15
school year.
• If you want to make a change after you have
entered your courses, you will be able to log
back in and make the changes.
• If you have any questions, please contact
your counselor.
Students and Parents can make changes
in Naviance until March 28th
You will get a list of your classes sometime in May.
If you would like to make changes at that point, please follow the directions in that letter.
You will have until
June 6th to make any ‘Change of mind’ requests
