APA requires “references” instead of a bibliography,

TABLES
• Tables are numbered consecutively in the order in which
they are first mentioned
• Refer to tables by number, not as “the table above” or

• Table Titles should be placed on top of tables
• Number tables with Arabic numerals
• Double-space
• Use horizontal rather than vertical lines within tables
• Capitalize the initial letter of the principled words
and italicize the title

FIGURES
• Figures are numbered consecutively in the order in
which they are first mentioned
• Each figure must have a caption that includes the
figure number:

• Periods and commas should be placed within the quote marks;
semicolons and colons go outside
