Instructions for Accessing the
CITI Program
Online Courses
To Log In Via
Single Sign ON
(SSO)
www.citiprogram.org
Click on the grey “Log in via SSO” button on
the right hand side of the screen
A list of institutions will appear
Click on “Northwestern University”
An NU validation screen will come up.
Enter your NU NetID & password.
You will be redirected to your CITI account.
To Create a New Account
Go to: https://www.citiprogram.org/index.cfm?pageID=668
Click on “Northwestern University”
An NU validation screen will come up.
Enter your NU NetID & password.
You will be redirected to your Main Menu page
Click on the blue banner labeled
“Northwestern University Courses”
Click on “Add a Course or Update Learner Groups”
Scroll down…
Select the appropriate course/s for the research you will be conducting (i.e. RCR
course for graduate students and postdocs in engineering)
Then click “submit”
You will be redirected to your Main Menu page
Incomplete Not Earned
Click on the blue “Northwestern University Courses” banner
A table should drop down below with “incomplete” in the status column
Click on the name of the course to be redirected to the content
Passed 12/1/2014
Print
After you have completed all of the modules and passed the quizzes with a score of
80% or better, you will be able to download and print a Course Completion Report.
This report is a transcript providing a detailed record of your training.
NOTE: The NU ORI Office does not issue certificates of CITI training completion.
You are strongly advised to retain a copy of the certificate for your records
To link your previous training with
Northwestern
Click on “Click here to affiliate…”
Be sure to choose “Northwestern University”
We will not be able to access your records if
another institution is selected
To print a copy of your
completion certificate
Click on the institution where you took the course
Click on “Print Report” to create a PDF
