Transport from / to the Seehotel

8:15 Bus leaves the Hotel
Evening:
 Starting at 18:15, shuttles (Hotel and
DESY) will circulate.
 Walking back to the Hotel is an
interesting possibility!
Lunch at DESY

School’s badge is the “key” to the meal.


– Salad buffet, dessert
– Sandwich, small salad, dessert


The Afternoon courses I

Three courses are proposed:
– Optics Design, Measurement and Correction
– Linac Structures
– Instrumentation, Beam Diagnostics and
Feedback Systems

Abstracts for the three courses have
been distributed.
The Afternoon courses II





Each participant registers for ONE course.
Lists for registration are in the hall (panel) in
front of the lecture room.
Aim is to have an almost equal repartition.
Please register tonight or tomorrow morning
until the end of the coffee break.
Confirmation or modifications will be
announced/discussed before the lunch.
Guided Studies and Tutorials

Guided studies: Exercises are discussed
interactively with the lecturer.

Tutorials: Participants are divided in small
groups (3) to discuss their solutions with the
tutors.
Poster session (20th September)

The posters can be presented on the
dedicated panels in the hall from Tuesday
morning onwards (coffee or lunch break).

On Saturday 20th, the authors have to be
present next to their poster at 12:15 for about
45 minutes (to present their contribution and
answer questions).
“Special” Days I

Wednesday 17th: Visit of Berlin (see
distributed programme for social events)

Sunday 21st: Excursion to Dresden (see social
events)

Tuesday 23rd: Seminar in Berlin and
“Conference Dinner” (return by bus).
“Special” Days II

Saturday 20th and Wednesday 24th: Individual
opportunity to discover the city of Berlin.
Individual return with S-Bahn.

The participants who would like to have dinner
at the Hotel (20:00) HAVE TO register the day
before on a dedicated list located in the DESY
hall.

No name on the list = No dinner !
Internet connection at DESY
 DESY Zeuthen has kindly provided
some computers to have a direct access
to the Internet.
 The room will be closed during the
lectures hours.
Guidelines for the Seehotel

Dinner at 19:30 (except Saturday 20th, 20:00).

Two drinks (soft drink, mineral water, beer or 2
dl of wine) and a coffee are included for the
dinner.

Be careful with the X-channels on the TV in
your room.

Hotel’s shuttle can be called from different
locations in Zeuthen (ask K. Varschen).
