Ariba Sourcing – What’s in 12s1 FEATURE • EXAMPLES Savings Form Improvements DESCRIPTION • This set of features allows more control over the processing of Savings Forms in projects. We need to address the major use cases of our customers in this area. Allow for the buyer to expose additional information during a “Blind Sealed Bid” so they could know if suppliers have not submitted responses or not. A new auction template to support Japanese Auctions Currently Envelope Bidding has shortcomings as implemented, we need to clear those up, including the destroying of responses once a supplier is rejected for the next step and Run time Edits. © 2012 Ariba, Inc. Show a replied to message as “replied to” for all the buyers viewing the event. Also, provide information that it was replied to by the viewer or other team members. Ability to Export all messages in a format that is sort able in excel. Search in Message Board on both headers and content Add a message filter for all messages from participants, buyers, and related responses. Provide the ability for buyers to check a box if they feel they have answered a question to allow for a filter of "unanswered questions". • Integration II • Lookup Table Terms Support for full round-trip with an external ERP or PLM system. This would allow an event to be initiated and created by integration from the external system. Post event, via integration, results and awards, including attachments. Ability to have a term in an item that uses inputs to look up a value in a table. © 2012 Ariba, Inc. Award all to one in an easy way and don't send an email message for each awarded item, combine if going to the same supplier Buyers want to control the sending of notifications, for example, restrict notifications being sent when they have to re-open an event for a late bidder, not wanting the other suppliers to be notified. Developing such trading partner relationships pays dividends in many ways, particularly when your goal is ensuring a sustainable supply chain. Join Tim Minahan, chief marketing officer for Ariba, as he explores the concept with Kate Vitasek, author of Vested Outsourcing, and Tim McBride, general manager for global finance shared services at Microsoft. Mr. Minahan and his guests will engage with Ariba customers who will talk about such investments at their companies, and the impact they have on their comprehensive sustainability programs. 5:15 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Florentine III and IV © 2012 Ariba, Inc.
