FARELOGIX – TRAINING MANUAL
1.1 Introduction
Farelogix is a leading provider of distribution and independent faring
technology to the global travel industry. The system provides travel agencies
access to Emirates’ full range of products.
Product Features:
•Internet based. Complete e-ticket environment
•Directly connect to Emirates reservation system
•Guaranteed waitlist facility
•Queue functionality
•Interline enabled
•Integrate price, book, ticket and reporting functionality
•Integrated credit card Authorisation

1.3 Login
Prior to using Farelogix, you will receive a document with User Id’s and
Passwords from Emirates office

Description
Agent
Any staff in the travel agency who can make bookings, view all
bookings and queues.
Agent id cannot issue tickets.
Ticketing Agent
Any staff in the travel agency who can make bookings, view all
bookings, view queues and issue tickets
Sub Agent
Any designated person outside the travel agency, who is
authorised to make bookings on their behalf. Sub agents can only
view their own bookings and ticket image.
Sub agents cannot view other bookings made by the agency, they
cannot view queues or issue tickets.

successful login.
Password should be changed after
initial log in

Enter initial password,
followed by new password.
Confirm the new password
and then click on Save
Password criteria:
•Password cannot be re-used until 10 password cycles have been completed
•The maximum number of characters allowed is 9
•No special characters are allowed (E.g. $,#,&, etc)
•3 incorrect login attempts will result in the account being locked.
•Please send email to [email protected] for re setting of password.

Reservation tab to make a
new booking

A new booking can be made by
clicking on New
Existing bookings made on Farelogix only, can be
viewed by entering passenger name or record
locator and then clicking Search
Emirates bookings made on GDS cannot be viewed
in Farelogix
You can work simultaneously in 5 sessions

By default one adult
(ADT) passenger will
be selected
After clicking on New,
the Itinerary tab will
open

8 additional passengers can be added from the
drop down box. The maximum passengers on a
PNR can be 9.
1 default pax + 8 additional pax.

Passenger type can be changed to
child by selecting CHD option in the
drop down box and then clicking on
Go
Infant passenger can attached to an
adult passenger by selecting the adult
passenger number and then clicking
on Go

by their title
Date of birth is not
required for ADT and
CHD pax type. It is
only required for
infant (INF)

After entering passenger name,
click Co to enter contact details

From the drop down option, select a type of
contact. Then select passengers country followed
by area code and contact number.
For PNR’s with more than one passenger, click
the Apply for All button to copy contact
details

Scroll to the bottom of the contact screen to enter
Form of Payment.
For credit card payments, please refer to section For non credit card payment, select
Traveler Other and type Cash or Invoice
as applicable.
For PNR’s with more than one passenger, click the Apply for All
button to copy form of payment details for all passengers. Click
Save to Itinerary Only to save details
Form of payment can be changed prior to ticketing

Save to Profile, if passenger profile
needs to be created.

4.1 How to Price an Itinerary
Click on Flight tab to enter flight
details
Select the flight type from drop down menu as
per journey:
• One Way – for one way journey.
• Round Trip – for mirror journey with no
stopover in Dubai.
•Multi Destination – for open jaw journey or
stopovers in Dubai.

Airport codes need to be entered for Origin and Destination

Option 1- Fare Quotes
Click on “Fare Quotes” to view all applicable fares
between the origin and destination selected.
Fare Quotes can only be viewed for One Way and
Round Trip Flight types.

If published and contract fares are applicable in the market, then they will be
displayed separately

Click on the required fare
Click on “Check for Availability” to
see if seats are available for the
selected fare.
If seats are available, please proceed
to 4.3- Available Fares for further
details.
If seats are not available , please
select higher fare or click Available
Fares for lowest available fare option.
If multiple fares are available in the same booking class, Farelogix will take the
lowest applicable fare for the fare class

view the lowest available fares
between the origin and
destination for the dates
selected.

Click on “Availability Only” to view all classes on
flights operating between the origin and destination
for the dates selected.
Flights can be waitlisted using this option.

Select booking class
Booking classes with no availability can also be selected. Farelogix guarantees
wait listing of booking classes.

the passenger type “other”. The
screen will automatically refresh

Click Edit to enter passenger
name and title. Please refer to

After entering the passenger name, click the
Co tab to enter passenger contact and Form

Unclick “Published Fares”
Select the flight type from drop down menu as per
journey: One Way, Round Trip or Multi Destination
Select an option to check fare and book flights. Please
refer to section 4.2, 4.3 & 4.4 for further details

Command
Command uses generic entries to book, price and ticket in Farelogix. This
significantly reduces transaction time ensuring PNR’s can be created and
ticketed within a few seconds on a good internet speed.
To access Command,
press the Command tab
Pre requisite – To use Command, Active-X needs to be downloaded from the
internet. The system will prompt you for the same.
