• “Movie”
>> Introduction ”de Sprengen”
• Building on the future.
The project
Focus
on a very specific target group, youngsters in prison that undergo VET.
There experience are interrupted or ad hoc vocations in education leading
to a shortage of proved competences which makes it difficult to enter
either vocational education or the labor market afterwards.
Aim
to provide them support in making a portfolio of their learning as well as
to recognize the learning activities and link them to formal qualifications
though APL. This should give them a better change to continue VET or
start working after leaving the prison should prevent fallback into criminal
behavior.
Based on
the instrument ROC Aventus and JPC De Sprengen have used during a
pilot: a portfolio and APL. The project will upgrade this instruments based
on experiences of others and will pilot the upgraded instrument in all
participating countries.
This project includes
• sharing experiences on VET in prison in an international context;
• update the Dutch materials for portfolio and APL for this target
group;
• adapt the materials for use in the project other countries
• pilots with portfolio and APL in the juvenile prisons
• evaluate experiences and results
