Thank you for your interest in our
Botsford Hospital Podiatric Medicine &
Surgery-36 Residency Program. Our
residency experience offers the
knowledge, skills, professional
attitudes, and judgment to accomplish
those competencies needed to be a
well-rounded podiatric physician in
medicine, orthopedics and foot/rearfoot/ankle reconstructive surgery.
The educational curriculum at Botsford
Hospital provides both core resourcedbase rotations, as-well as exceptional
rotations in advanced medical and
surgical specialties to enhance the
didactic and surgical cognitive skill
levels.

About the Program
Accepts 4 residents each year.
Participant in CASPR/CRIP.
First Year of the PM&S-36 program,
the podiatric resident will have
attained competence in all aspects of
podiatric medical knowledge, skills
and professional attitudes to
supplement a well rounded residency
in Clinical Podiatric Medicine.
Upon completion of the last 2 years,
the podiatric resident will have
attained the knowledge, skills ,
professional attitude, and judgment
competencies in all aspects of
Podiatric Surgery of the forefoot,
midfoot, rearfoot and ankle.
The educational curriculum provides
both core resourced-based rotations
and experiences to exceed the
minimal activity volume required by
CPME and APMA and to be able to
sit for qualification with the American
Board of Podiatric Surgery, American
Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and
Primary Podiatric Medicine.
In addition there are exceptional
rotations in advanced medical and
surgical specialties to enhance the
didactic and surgical cognitive skill
levels.
