- Metro purchased new radio tower equipment that
is being utilized by Metro, MPD, MFD & other city agencies
• Vehicle Area Network
- Every bus is equipped with a computer, MDT, Global Positioning
Satellite (GPS) antenna/receiver and voice & data radio
- Metro facility has wireless Local Area Network (LAN) to
constantly update buses with current route & announcement data
• 2,034 Bus Stops Surveyed
- Each bus stop had to be located by latitude & longitude
- Precise distance between each bus stop had to be recorded
