Students’ speaking proficiency can be evaluated
because:

 It is very difficult for users to repeat a long English sentence simply
by memorizing a long sequence of sounds.

Users' ability to understand a sentence and form a conceptual
representation depends on their knowledge of vocabulary and
grammar.

The sentences are ordered according to the difficulty of words
involved, the grammar complexity, and the length of sentences.
