Close 12.15pm Background NHS Erewash CCG are the lead Commissioner for the Derbyshire Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (NEPTS). A mutual agreement between the current provider and Commissioners has resulted in a reduction of the 5 year NEPTS contract to 3 years 3 months This has provided the opportunity to engage with partners and patients on a review of the current service specification and develop ways to improve patient care and service delivery Background (Cont…) The new service must provide: – a flexible and responsive service to meet the changing structure of the NHS –support locally agreed initiatives and work collaboratively with partners –enable an improvement in service delivery – using lessons learnt over the past 18 months.
