UC/CSU Eligibile

Our goal is for all CEHS to become UC/CSU eligible!

– CSU = Fresno State, San Diego State, etc.

– UC = UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Merced, etc Course requirements are called “A-G” requirements.

What is a (P) course? (P) designation for a college prep course.

What is my GPA?

GPA stands for your Grade Point Average Calculated according to the grades you earn in your classes and the number of classes you take.

A = 4, B = 3, C= 2, D = 1, F = 0 CSU/UC calculate GPA based on the courses you take to meet A-G requirements.

How to calculate your GPA?

P.E. Core Biology Algebra 1 English 9 Spanish 1 Health B+ A C C D F 3 4 2 2 1 0 TOTAL = 12 points Divide by # of classes* = 2.0

Taking the SAT/ACT

Take the PSAT and/or PLAN in the Fall of your Sophomore.

Take the SAT/ACT during the spring of your Junior year.

With a CSU/UC GPA of 3.0, CSU will take any score on the SAT/ACT. This is based on Admissions Availability

CA High School Exit Exam

Required to earn a diploma in the state of California English/Language Arts test – minimum score 350 Math test – covers Algebra 1 and some Geometry, minimum score of 350 First opportunity is during the spring of your Sophomore year
