Overview and Administration
 Overall the organisation for the event is going extremely well and
ahead of project plan
 Budget and expenditure are inline.
 5 sponsorship packages sold to date (one gold package left)
 Quotes received from various suppliers and relevant suppliers have
been appointed for the event including caterers, transport, gifts, décor,
entertainment, technical etc
 Administration in order including banking details (international
sponsorship money is being paid over to AMEDA’s bank account for VAT
purposes), public liability insurance and appointment of auditors
Site Visit
 Three site visits concluded during 2010
 Site visit with Mr Mohammed and MCDR delegation completed in
October 2010 which included meetings on:
 Conference gifts and uniforms
 Hotel facilities
 All three social function venues
 Social function decoration supplier
 Venue for AMEDA dinner
Registration Update
 To date over 60 people have registered for CSD11
 Standard Registration closes on 31 December 2010:
 R 13 000 / +- EUR 1300
 Late Registration runs from 1 January 2011 – 13 April 2011:
 R 15 000 / +- EUR 1500
 AMEDA members are encouraged to register online ASAP via
www.csd11.net
Marketing Update
 Presentations at the regional CSD meetings:
 ACSDA – October 2010 in Mexico City
 AECSD – September 2010 in Minsk
 ECSDA – October 2010 in Amsterdam
 ACG – December 2010 in Mumbai
 Brochures printed and distributed at all meetings and international
events
 Two electronic news flyers issued to date with another 6 reminders
schedule between now and the conference.
Agenda
 CSD Contact Group (CCG) is composed on representatives from each
regional association around the world. The committee has been working
on compiling the CSD11 Agenda
 The CCG met at ISSA (June 2010) and SIBOS (October 2010) to
discuss the agenda
 Three interim conference calls have taken place to refine topics and
speakers
 Each region has been required to propose speakers
 To date, the CSD11 agenda topics and proposed speakers are finalised.
Invitation letters have been issued to approximately 40 speakers and we
are awaiting confirmation
