1) Eros love - known as "erotic love".
It is based on strong feelings toward
another. It usually occurs in the first
stages of a man-woman "romantic"
relationship.
2Sa 13:1: And it came to pass after this, that Absalom the son of
David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the
son of David loved her
14 Howbeit he would not hearken unto her voice: but, being
stronger than she, forced her, and lay with her.
15 Then Amnon hated her exceedingly; so that the hatred
wherewith he hated her was greater than the love wherewith he
had loved her. And Amnon said unto her, Arise be gone

First Corinthians 13:4-8 provides a
perfect description for agape : "Love is
patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it
does not boast, it is not proud. It is not
rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily
angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices
with the truth. It always protects, always
trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails."

In essence, eros love is "physical",
philia love is "mental", and agape
love is "spiritual". Thus, it is made up
of the three fundamental elements
of man: physical, mental and
spiritual(body, soul and spirit).

Agape Love

Love appears-God looked for us while we were
still sinners.Ro 5:8 But God commendeth his love
toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ
died for us
Love is long lasting and never forgets to love(it
never gives up!)-Isaiah 49:15 Can a woman forget
her sucking child, that she should not have
compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may
forget yet will I not forget thee. 16 Behold, I have
graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls
are continually before me

Agape Love
Jer 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved

Love draws near-God delights to spend time
with us! God drew near to us- Mt 1:23 Behold a
virgin shall be with child and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his
name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is God with us
Love has no reason to love!(Agape)- Joh 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life
1Jo 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his
life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren

Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
