The two major numbering systems
• Strong: a late 19th-century system associated
originally with the Authorized or King James
Version (A/KJV).
• Goodrick/Kohlenberger (G/K): a late 20thcentury system associated originally with, and
still tied closely to, the New International
Version (NIV).

• an NIV Old Testament (e.g. the Zondervan NIV study Bible,
REF BS195 .N37 2002f) and The NIV exhaustive
concordance, REF BS425 .G62 1990, or
• Something like The Blue Letter Bible
(http://www.blueletterbible.org/) and a conversion chart
2. To
• the Hebrew-English concordance to the Old Testament with
the New International Version, REF BS1121 .K65 1998, and
• the New international dictionary of Old Testament theology
and exegesis (NIDOTTE), 5 vols., REF BS440 .N438 1997,
3. To the Theological dictionary of the Old Testament (TDOT), 16 vols.
