Jesus,
the Son of God
Who is Jesus Christ
and what makes Him so unique?
Isaiah 40:18, 25
18
o whom then will
T
ye liken God? or
what likeness will
ye compare unto
him?
To whom then will
ye liken me, or
shall I be equal?
saith the Holy
One.
25
We will now spend some
time meditating on who
this Unique Person is as
revealed in the Bible,
allowing the Holy Spirit
freedom to open the eyes
of our understanding
Psalm 119:18
Openthou mine
eyes, that I may
behold wondrous
things out of thy law.
John 16:13,14
owbeit when he, the Spirit
H
of truth, is come, he will guide
you into all truth: for he shall
not speak of himself; but
whatsoever he shall hear, that
shall he speak: and he will
shew you things to come.
13
He shall glorify
me: for he shall
receive of mine,
and shall shew it
unto you.
14
JESUS
is the Central Theme of
the Bible
Psalm 40:7
Then said I, Lo, I
come: in the
volume of the book
it is written of me,
Luke 24:44, 45
nd he said unto them,
A
These are the words which I
spake unto you, while I was
yet with you, that all things
must be fulfilled, which were
written in the law of Moses,
and in the prophets, and in
the psalms, concerning me.
44
opened he
their understanding,
that they might
understand the
scriptures,
45
Then
Acts 5:42
And daily in the
temple, and in every
house, they ceased
not to teach and
preach Jesus Christ.
IT’S ALL ABOUT
JESUS
JESUS IS
THE SON OF GOD
He is the Second Person of
the Triune God (One God in
three Persons). He is coequal with the Father and
the Holy Spirit, existing from
eternity. He is 100% God
(fully God). This is a
mystery which can only be
accepted by faith
Deuteronomy 6:4
Hear, O Israel:
The LORD our
God is one
LORD:
1 John 5:7
For there are three that
bear record in heaven,
the Father, the Word,
and the Holy Ghost:
and these three are
one.
John 1:1
In the beginning
was the Word,
and the Word was
with God, and the
Word was God.
John 1:1
In the beginning
the Word already
existed. He was
with God, and he
was God.
(New Living Translation. 1997)
Hebrews 1:3
ho being the brightness of his
W
glory, and the express image of
his person, and upholding all
things by the word of his power,
when he had by himself purged
our sins, sat down on the right
hand of the Majesty on high;
Hebrews 1:3 (NLT)
The Son reflects God’s own glory,
and everything about him
represents God exactly. He
sustains the universe by the
mighty power of his command.
After he died to cleanse us from
the stain of sin, he sat down in the
place of honor at the right hand of
the majestic God of heaven.
(New Living Translation. 1997)
Hebrews 9:14
How much more shall the
blood of Christ, who through
the eternal Spirit offered
himself without spotto God,
purge your conscience from
dead works to serve the
living God?
Hebrews 11:6 (NLT)
But without faith it is
impossible to please him:
for he that cometh to God
must believe that he is, and
that he is a rewarder of
them that diligently seek
him.
JESUS IS
THE SON OF MAN
He is fully God (100% GOD) and
also fully man (100% MAN). This
union seems impossible according
to human calculation but is
possible with God. This union of
His two Natures became possible
at His Incarnation (the Son of God
veiled in human flesh) and is
necessary for our Salvation
John 1:1
In the beginning was
the Word, and the
Word was with God,
and the Word was
God.
Luke 1:30-32 & 34-35
nd the angel said
A
unto her, Fear not,
Mary: for thou hast
found favour with God.
30
nd, behold, thou
A
shalt conceive in thy
womb, and bring forth
a son, and shalt call
his name JESUS.
31
e shall be great, and
H
shall be called the Son
of the Highest: and the
Lord God shall give
unto him the throne of
his father David:
32
hen said Mary unto
T
the angel, How shall
this be, seeing I know
not a man?
34
nd the angel answered and
A
said unto her, The Holy Ghost
shall come upon thee, and the
power of the Highest shall
overshadow thee: therefore
also that holy thing which shall
be born of thee shall be called
the Son of God.
35
Matthew 1:23
Behold, a virgin shall be
with child,and shall bring
forth a son, and they
shall call his name
Emmanuel, which being
interpreted is, God with
us.
John 1:14
And the Word was made
flesh, and dwelt among us,
(and we beheld his glory,
the glory as of the only
begotten of the Father,) full
of grace and truth.
John 1:14
So the Word became
human and lived here on
earth among us. He was full
of unfailing love and
faithfulness.And we have
seen his glory, the glory of
the only Son of the Father.
[New Living Translation. 1997]
Matthew 16:13,16
hen Jesus came into
W
the coasts of Caesarea
Philippi, he asked his
disciples, saying, Whom
do men say that I the
Son of man am?
13
nd Simon Peter
A
answered and said, Thou
art the Christ, the Son of
the living God.
16
2 Cor. 5:19
To wit, that God was in
Christ, reconciling the world
unto himself, not imputing
their trespasses unto them;
and hath committedunto us
the word of reconciliation.
2 Cor. 5:19
God was in Christ, making
peace between the world and
himself. In Christ, God did not
hold the world guilty of its sins.
And he gave us this message
of peace.
(New Century Version)
Colossians 2:9
For in him
dwelleth all the
fulness of the
Godhead bodily.
Colossians 2:9
All of God lives in
Christ fully (even
when Christ was
on earth),
(New Century Version)
Jesus is the only
Person who
continually dwells in
eternity, entered time
through birth and
received back into
glory.
Psalm 90:2
Before the mountains
were brought forth, or
ever thou hadst formed
the earth and the world,
even from everlasting to
everlasting, thou art God.
John 18:37
Pilate
therefore said unto him, Art
thou a king then? Jesus
answered, Thou sayest that I am a
king. To this end was I born, and
for this cause came I into the
world, that I should bear witness
unto the truth. Every one that is of
the truth heareth my voice.
1 Timothy 3:16
And without controversy great is
the mystery of godliness: God
was manifest in the flesh,
justified in the Spirit, seen of
angels, preached unto the
Gentiles, believed on in the
world, received up into glory.
JESUS is so AWESOME!!!
There are no human words that
can fully define Him. If He could
be fully defined, then He would
be limited to our finite
understanding and become
less than who He really is. He
transcends (goes beyond the
limits of) all definitions.
2 Corinthians 9:15
Thanks be unto
God for his
unspeakable gift.
2 Corinthians 9:15
Thank God for his
Son—a gift too
wonderful for
words!
New Living Translation. 1997
Ephesians 3:8
Unto me, who am less
than the least of all
saints, is this grace
given, that I should
preach among the
Gentiles the
unsearchable riches of
Christ;
Ephesians 3:8
I am the least important of
all God’s people, but God
gave me this gift—to tell
those who are not Jews the
Good News about the
riches of Christ, which are
too great to understand
fully.
New Century Version , 1991
DEFINITION
INFINITE: having no
boundaries or limits in
size, extent, time or
space. Too great to be
measured or counted.
JESUS IS
OMNI POTENT
(INFINITELY POWERFUL)
He is able by the exercise
of His will to accomplish
anything He chooses to
do, being limited only by
anything that is contrary
to His Divine Nature. He
is infinitely Powerful.
Psalm 115:3
But our God is in
the heavens: he
hath done
whatsoever he
hath pleased.
Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld
them, and said unto
them, With men this
is impossible; but
with God all things
are possible.
Ephesians 3:20
Now unto him that is able
to do exceeding
abundantly above all that
we ask or think,
according to the power
that worketh in us,
Ephesians 3:20
Now glory be to God! By his
mighty power at work within
us, he is able to accomplish
infinitely more than we
would ever dare to ask or
hope.
(New Living Translation. 1997)
2 Tim. 2:13
If we believe not,
yet he abideth
faithful: he cannot
deny himself.
Rev. 19:6
And I heard as it were the
voice of a great multitude,
and as the voice of many
waters, and as the voice of
mighty thunderings, saying,
Alleluia: for the Lord God
omnipotent reigneth.
JESUS IS
OMNI-PRESENT
(INFINITELY EVERYWHERE)
He is present in all of His Being
infinitely everywhere, at every
point of eternity all at the same
time. His presence transcends
(goes beyond the limits of) time
and space infinitely, therefore
He cannot be limited by either.
Rev. 1:8
I am Alpha and Omega,
the beginning and the
ending, saith the Lord,
which is, and which was,
and which is to come, the
Almighty.
Psalm 138:7-10
Whither shall I go
7
from thy spirit? or
whither shall I flee
from thy presence?
If I ascend up into
heaven, thou art
there: if I make my
bed in hell, behold,
thou art there.
8
If I take the wings of
the morning, and
dwell in the
uttermost parts of
the sea;
9
ven there shall thy
E
hand lead me, and
thy right hand shall
hold me.
10
1 Kings 8:27
But will God indeed dwell
on the earth? behold, the
heaven and heaven of
heavens cannot contain
thee; how much less this
house that I have
builded?
1 Kings 8:27
But, God, can you really live
here on the earth? The sky
and the highest place in
heaven cannot contain you.
Surely this house which I
have built cannot contain
you.
New Century Version
It is an awesome thought
and a great honor to
know that even though
Jesus cannot be
contained by the
universe, yet He chooses
to dwell within us.
Psalm 46:1
God is our refuge
and strength, a
very present help
in trouble.
Acts 17:27
That they should seek
the Lord, if haply they
might feel after him,
and find him, though
he be not far from
every one of us:
John 14:23
Jesus answered and said
unto him, If a man love me,
he will keep my words: and
my Father will love him, and
we will come unto him, and
make our abode with him.
John 14:23
Jesus answered and said to
him, “
If anyone loves Me, he
will keep My word; and My
Father will love him,
and We
will come to him and make
Our home with him.
(The New King James Version. 1996)
JESUS IS
OMNI SCIENT
(INFINITE KNOWLEDGE)
He knows and has always
known all things past, present
and future equally and
completely. He knows the
motive of every individual all at
the same time. He knows our
thoughts before we put them
together to make sense. His
knowledge is infinitely perfect.
1 Samuel 16:7
But
the LORD said unto Samuel,
Look not on his countenance, or
on the height of his stature;
because I have refused him: for
the LORD seeth not as man seeth;
for man looketh on the outward
appearance, but the LORD
looketh on the heart.
1 Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said to Samuel,
“Don’t judge by his appearance or
height, for I have rejected him.
The Lord doesn’t make decisions
the way you do! People judge by
outward appearance, but the Lord
looks at a person’s thoughts and
intentions.”
[ New Living Translation. 1997 ]
Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my
mouth, and the
meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy
sight, O LORD, my
strength
, and my
redeemer.
Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my
mouth meet with your
favor, keep the thoughts
of my heart before you,
LORD, my rock and my
redeemer.
The New American Bible
Psalm 139:2-4
2
Thou knowest my
downsitting and mine
uprising, thou
understandest my
thought afar off.
3
Thou compassest
my path and my
lying down, and art
acquainted with all
my ways.
4
or there is not a
F
word in my tongue,
but, lo, O LORD,
thou knowest it
altogether.
Psalm 139:2-4
(RSV)
Thou knowest when I
sit down and when I
rise up; thou
discernest my
thoughts from afar.
2
Thou searchest
out my path and
my lying down,
and art acquainted
with all my ways.
3
Even before a
word is on my
tongue, lo, O Lord,
thou knowest it
altogether.

[The Revised Standard Version.]
Romans 8:26-27
Likewise the Spirit also
helpeth our infirmities: for
we know not what we
should pray for as we ought:
but the Spirit itself maketh
intercession for us with
groanings which cannot be
uttered.
26
nd he that searcheth the
A
hearts knoweth what is the
mind of the Spirit, because
he maketh intercession for
the saints according to the
will of God.
27
Romans 8:26-27
26
(NLT)
And the Holy Spirit helps us
in our distress. For we don’t
even know what we should
pray for, nor how we should
pray. But the Holy Spirit
prays for us with groanings
that cannot be expressed in
words.
And the Father who knows
all hearts knows what the
Spirit is saying, for the Spirit
pleads for us believers in
harmony with God’s own
will.

(New Living Translation. 1997)
Hebrews 4:13
Neither is there any
creature that is not manifest
in his sight: but all things
are naked and opened unto
the eyes of him with whom
we have to do.
Hebrews 4:13
Nothing in all creation can hide
from him. Everything is naked
and exposed before his eyes.
This is the God to whom we
must explain all that we have
done.
[ New Living Translation ]
Job 37:16
Dost thou know the
balancings of the
clouds, the wondrous
works of him which is
perfect in knowledge?
Psalm 147:5
Great is our Lord,
and of great
power: his
understanding is
infinite.
Psalm 147:5
(NCV)
Our Lord is great
and very powerful.
There is no limit to
what he knows.
(New Century Version , 1991)
Romans 11:33
O the depth of the riches
both of the wisdom and
knowledge of God! how
unsearchable are his
judgments, and his ways
past finding out!
Romans 11:33
Oh, what a wonderful God
we have! How great are his
riches and wisdom and
knowledge! How impossible
it is for us to understand his
decisions and his methods!
(New Living Translation. 1997)
He knows everything that is
said and done in secret both
in the physical and spiritual
world and He may reveal
this knowledge to/through
any chosen vessel
2 Kings 6:8-12
Then the king of Syria
warred against Israel,
and took counsel with his
servants, saying, In such
and such a place shall be
my camp
8
9
nd the man of God sent
A
unto the king of Israel,
saying, Beware that thou
pass not such a place;
for thither the Syrians are
come down.
nd the king of Israel
A
sent to the place which
the man of God told him
and warned him of, and
saved himself there, not
once nor twice.
10
Therefore the heart of
the king of Syria was
sore troubled for this
thing; and he called his
servants, and said unto
them, Will ye not shew
me which of us is for the
king of Israel?
11
And one of his servants
said, None, my lord
,O
king: but Elisha, the
prophet that is in Israel,
telleth the king of Israel
the words that thou
speakest in thy
bedchamber.
12
Acts 5:1-11
1
ut a certain man
B
named Ananias, with
Sapphira his wife,
sold a possession,
And kept back part of
the price, his wife also
being privy to it, and
brought a certain part,
and laid it at the
apostles’ feet.
2
3
ut Peter said,
B
Ananias, why hath
Satan filled thine heart
to lie to the Holy
Ghost, and to keep
back part of the price
of the land?
Whiles it remained, was it
not thine own? and after
it was sold, was it not in
thine own power? why
hast thou conceived this
thing in thine heart? thou
hast not lied unto men,
but unto God.
4
And Ananias hearing
these words fell down,
and gave up the ghost:
and great fear came
on all them that heard
these things.
5
6
nd the young men
A
arose, wound him
up, and carried him
out, and buried him.
7
nd it was about the
A
space of three hours
after, when his wife,
not knowing what
was done, came in.
8
nd Peter answered
A
unto her, Tell me
whether ye sold the
land for so much?
And she said, Yea,
for so much.
Then Peter said unto her,
How is it that ye have
agreed together to tempt
the Spirit of the Lord?
behold, the feet of them
which have buried thy
husband are at the door,
and shall carry thee out.
9
Then fell she down
straightway at his feet,
and yielded up the ghost:
and the young men came
in, and found her dead,
and, carrying her forth,
buried her by her
husband.
10
And great fear came
upon all the church,
and upon as many
as heard these
things.

IT’S ALL ABOUT
JESUS
JESUS IS
INDEPENDENT
He does not need anything
from us or the rest of
creation to exist. This
includes our worship. He is
Self-Existent. As the
Creator He has a right to
receive worship from His
creation.
Acts 17:24-25
od that made the world
G
and all things therein,
seeing that he is Lord of
heaven and earth, dwelleth
not in temples made with
hands;
24
either is worshipped with
N
men’s hands, as though he
needed any thing, seeing he
giveth to all life, and breath,
and all things;
25
Psalm 90:2
Before the mountains were
brought forth, or ever thou
hadst formed the earth and
the world, even from
everlasting to everlasting,
thou art God.
Psalm 90:2
Before the mountains
were born, the earth
and the world brought
forth, from eternity to
eternity you are God.
The New American Bible
Revelation 4:11
Thou art worthy, O Lord, to
receive glory and honour
and power: for thou hast
created all things, and for
thy pleasure they are and
were created.
JESUS IS
IMMUTABLE
His Immutability means
that He is unchanging in
His Being, Perfections,
Purposes and Promises.
It is impossible for Him to
be unfaithful. He is The
Eternal “I AM”
Deuteronomy 7:9
Know therefore that the
LORD thy God, he is God,
the faithful God, which
keepeth covenant and
mercy with them that love
him and keep his
commandments to a
thousand generations;
Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this
very thing, that he which
hath begun a good work
in you will performit until
the day of Jesus Christ:
Philippians 1:6
And I am sure that God,
who began the good
work within you, will
continue his work until it
is finally finished on that
day when Christ Jesus
comes back again.
New Living Translation. 1997
Jude 1:24-25
ow unto him that is
N
able to keep you from
falling, and to present
you faultless before the
presence of his glory with
exceeding joy,
24
o the only wise God
T

Hebrews 6:13, 16-18

promise to Abraham,
because he could swear
by no greater, he sware
by himself,
13
or men verily swear by

for confirmation is to
them an end of all strife.
16
herein God, willing
W
more abundantly to shew
unto the heirs of promise
the immutability of his
counsel, confirmed it by
an oath:
17
hat by two immutable
T
things, in which it was
impossible for God to lie, we
might have a strong
consolation, who have fled
for refuge to lay hold upon
the hope set before us:
18
Hebrews 6:13, 16-18 (NCV)
God made a promise to
Abraham. And as there is
no one greater than God,
he used himself when he
swore to Abraham,
13
People always use the
name of someone greater
than themselves when they
swear. The oath proves that
what they say is true, and
this ends all arguing.
16
God wanted to prove that his
promise was true to those who
would get what he promised.
And he wanted them to
understand clearly that his
purposes never change, so he
made an oath.
17
These two things cannot
change: God cannot lie
when he makes a promise,
and he cannot lie when he
makes an oath.
18
(New Century Version)
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ the
same yesterday,
and to day, and
for ever.
Exodus 3:14
And God said unto
Moses, I AM THAT I AM:
and he said, Thus shalt
thou say unto the
children of Israel, I AM
hath sent me unto you.
Exo 3:14
(NTL)
God replied, “I Am the
One Who Always Is.Just
tell them, ‘I Am has sent
me to you.’ ”
(I Will Be What I Will Be.)
(New Living Translation. 1997)
As the Son of God, He has no
beginning, end or succession of
moments in His Being. He cannot
be contained by time or space, no
matter how large. He cannot be
measured by either time or
distance. Time and distance has
no effect on His Being. He is
infinitely Perfect in every way
1 Kings 8:27
But will God indeed dwell on

Psalm 147:5
Great is our Lord, and
of great power: his

In your relationship with Jesus, He
desires to continually lead you into
new dimensions of faith and

character personally. The only
person that can stop you having
daily sweet fellowship, enjoying
the heights and depths of Him is
you.
Proverbs 4:18
But the path of the

Acts 26:19
Whereupon, O
king Agrippa, I was
not disobedient
unto the heavenly
vision:
JESUS IS A
SPIRITUAL
BEING
As the Son of God, He is a Spiritual
Being. He has no size or
dimensions. All of His Spirit is in
every point in space, in every point
in time, all at the same time. His
Being is unlike anything else in the
created universe. His Spirit is not
even exactly like our spirits which
can only exist in one place at a
time. His Spirit is Infinite.
John 4:23-24
ut the hour cometh, and
B
now is, when the true
worshippers shall worship
the Father in spirit and in
truth: for the Father seeketh
such to worship him.
23
is a Spirit:
and they that
worship him must
worship him in
spirit and in truth.
24
God
Psalm 9:10
And they that know thy
name will put their trust
in thee: for thou, LORD,
hast not forsaken them
that seek thee.
IT’S ALL ABOUT
JESUS
If the whole world was a library, it could
never fully define Jesus. Since He is an
Infinite in His Being and has Infinite
Knowledge, He is infinitely known only to
Himself. He has revealed a very small
fraction of Himself to us in the Bible. Some
of these names and titles revealed has
been translated as “God” and “Lord” in the
King James Version Bible. The context
helps you to understand their original
meaning. He desires that you know Him
personally.
John 21:25
And there are also many other
things which Jesus did, the
which, if they should be written
every one, I suppose that even
the world itself could not contain
the books that should be written.
Amen.
John 21:25
There are many other things
Jesus did. If every one of
them were written down, I
suppose the whole world
would not be big enough for
all the books that would be
written.
