Barrage of Tous www.icv.gva.es 270.000.000 m3 of sewage waters treated in 2005 were recycled. An average of 71’3% of consumed water was recycled Agriculture, gardening, city cleaning... Increase of 76% in treated water in 10 years 1995 206 sewage farms, 285 Hm3 treated. 2005 409 plants, more than 500 Hm3. 88% out of 500.000 Tons of sewage sludge were re-used in 2005. Fundación Comunidad Valenciana-Región Europea. Convergence towards the competitiveness objective: Before 2007, the Valencian Region was included in the former Objective 1. After January 2000 our Region was included in the Competitiveness and Employment Objective (formerly Obj. 2) The Valencian Region created in 2003 the Fundación Comunidad Valenciana - Región Europea to tackle this transition: • Broker of partnerships and spreading results of projects at European level. • Activating main economic areas of our Region. The Foundation bases its work on the strategic tool Public Private Partnership. www.uegva.info The Foundation was created in order to help civil society in the transitional participation on European funding as the Valencian Region entered Competitiveness Objective in 2007. This entity facilitates the participation of Valencian civil society, industrial groups, chambers of commerce, financial institutions, local development agencies, educational organizations (research and development institutions), and other stakeholders in European policies and projects. MOMENTUM: It takes place one month before the Valencian region phases-out of Objective 1. RE-INNOVATING EUROPE: Challenges for industrial clusters and entrepreneurial enterprises. Participation of more than 700 stakeholders in the field of entrepreneurial innovations. Performance areas : The project will study the five different sectors that the partners have identified as top priorities: 1. Regional competitiveness and innovation in the automotive industry; 2.
