INNOCON
–
Inno vative Con trol Solutions Ltd.
• Founded as a privately owned High-Tech company with the mission of developing, producing and marketing UAV related products. The founders of Innocon have been directly involved in integration and operation of numerous UAV systems over the past 28 years.
• This vast experience in the UAV business has led us to the identification of the avionics suite to be the core technology of any UAV system.
• This has led to the establishment of INNOCON, initially as a producer of generic avionics and ground station systems.
• During the recent years, we have tested and qualified our new Miniature Integrated Avionics Suite (MIAS), which we proudly believe to be
the most advanced and sophisticated UAV control system on the market.

Capabilities
(continued)
•The Innocon team is also highly experienced in the design and manufacture of airborne platforms. In the recent years we have entered primal test phases of the ‘Minifalcon’, our high performance airframe, designed specifically for the Tactical UAV market. Controlled by the MIAS avionics, and with automatic launch and recovery capabilities.
•Innocon is an
authorized supplier by the Israeli MOD
- SIBAT.
Highlights:
•
Innocon
specializes in control solutions for the UAV world.
• The core technology, is a highly capable control solution for unmanned vehicles of all types.
MIAS
(Miniature Integrated Avionics Suite), • Since 1996, Innocon identifies the potential of utilizing
manned platforms
as UAV’s, or their derivatives, as
uniqe
and
reliable
UAV products.

The concept – Forest Fire Solution
This overview is focused to a specific commercial mission namely: • • • • •
Forest fire detection, Early warning, Command & control of fire fighting activities Coordination of all organizations assets and manpower employed.
For this specific mission, two types of UAV systems are proposed to select from, so as to best fit the operational environment in Canada.
PROPRIETARY – COMPETITION SENSITIVE 6
Mission Concept
• In this mission the UAV is intended to loiter above a forest area while equipped with electro optical thermal sensor payload and to supply
early warning in case of fire.
The principal is that the sooner the fire is detected, less equipment is needed to extinguish it & the damages are less. • Payloads in correct technology are able to detect small fire from ranges of about 5-10 km. & if the UAV loiters at speed of 60 Kts (96 Km/H) it can survey an area of 960 to 1920 sq. Km per hour. • When one of the manned airplane options are selected, the loiter speed is in the range of 140 km.\H, and thus an area of up to 2.800 sq.km. per hour can be surveyed. • During this mission the UAV is
programmed to perform search and scan
pattern over a defined area (autonomously), while transmitting video real time information to the Ground Control Station (GCS). PROPRIETARY – COMPETITION SENSITIVE 7

Mission Concept
(II)
• Once a fire source is detected, the UAV will be controlled to fly over the fire zone and transmit
real time video images
including vital data, such as accurate coordinates of fire,
wind speed & direction
, by which the fire fighting commander located at the GCS can make his decisions about facilities to be employed, approach routes, forecasting fire propagation make damage assessment etc. • Optionally,
Remote Receiving Stations
units can be also provided to operational units close or inside the forest allowing them to have
first hand information
of the area.

The “Mission Scenario”:
Alberta Forest Regions
PROPRIETARY – COMPETITION SENSITIVE 10
Other Mission Capabilities:
Since the System is a real-time day & night surveillance and intelligence tool, it may be used for the following tasks: – Real time surveillance: • Search, detect and locate fire • Track of persons movement, campers • Location and track of camps • Situation awareness – A rear Control Center can monitor and evaluate the area and situation in real-time in order to assist decision making.
• Territory and installation security – surveillance of territory and installations of high importance against sabotage and/or theft • ADA (Area Damage Assessment) • Wild life monitoring – Guidance & Control (GAR) – Search & Rescue missions (SAR): • Searching and locating missing persons • Coordinating rescue missions PROPRIETARY – COMPETITION SENSITIVE 11

Complete Flight & Mission Control
• Providing a comprehensive control station as an inseparable part of the system • Customizing to any demand PROPRIETARY – COMPETITION SENSITIVE 16
Technical Highlights:
Avionics:
• The heart of the system is the MIAS flight computer, which handles all the
navigation tasks, & controls position & attitude, RF data link and payload operation
.
• It ‘feeds’ of
inputs
from: – A high accuracy inertial sensor (high-end
GPS/INS
system) –
GPS
antenna –
Pitot
,
slip indicators
,
angle-of-attack sensors
.
– Control
commands
(human/computer generated in manual & autonomous modes) – Other optional
sensors
(Electronic altitude sonars, LIDAR lasers etc.) PROPRIETARY – COMPETITION SENSITIVE 17
Technical Highlights:
Data Link & Electro-Optical Payloads:
• • •
The RF Data link system is composed primarily of the following:
Airborne system Ground system
Analog or Digital
350km range.
–
ADT
(Airborne Data Terminal) –
MCS
