100 years of changes and adaptation to build Holcim

Holcim from 1912 to 2012
Countless companies are founded every year,
yet not many survive for long. That makes it
worthy of note when a company celebrates its
100th anniversary, as Holcim has done in
2012.
Founded in 1912, in the village of Holderbank
in the Swiss canton of Aargau, it has grown
steadily, first as “Holderbank” and then later as
Holcim,
The ACC Gagal plant, high in the foothills of the Himalayas, is an
economic hub of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

EBM: Unifying 22 operating companies
The vision of the European Business Model (EBM) program is
to improve Holcim's competitiveness through better service to
our customers (higher effectiveness) and lower internal costs
(higher efficiency). This will be achieved by defining unique
