– MIS system creates JDF job tickets
• Customer and job info
• Automatic Preps imposition template selection based on press
name, number of pages, binding method, trim size, reel width
• Device selection sets RIP controls s.a. separation, resolution,
screening and plate selection
– Apogee Pilot merges the JDF info into a job ticket attached
to an input channel and automatically creates the job in the
prepress workflow system
– Operators only still assign pages to the jobs and run lists out
of a structured page store according to job naming
conventions
– CIP-3 data created at PrintDrive during platemaking
