• Boston costs a little more due to the greater bus fees to cover the much longer distance and the extra night at the hotel • For both trips, we will be asking for a $100.00 deposit in May

Financially Preparing for the trip.

• We understand that our trip may present a hardship to some of our families if they were not informed that this is on the horizon. That is why we are sharing this information with our Dallastown families early. It is our hope that this early introduction will enable students to consider how their behavior impacts their participation as well as helping families to plan for the financial end of this Outbound experience. • Financial assistance is available through an application process. If interested, please see Mr. Ellis in person, your 7 th grade history teacher or guidance counselor.

Who Gets to Go?

• At this point EVERYONE!

• However, we want to make a good name for Dallastown and will not take people who have trouble behaving.

• In order to be included YOU MUST… –Finish 7 th grade with at least a 65% in ALL your subjects –NOT be placed in ISS for more than one incident during your 7 th grade year –NOT be placed in OSS at all during your 7 th grade year –Pass a Guidance / Administration review prior to going on the trip in October.

–AND continue with good behavior in 8 th grade next year

For those who do not go…

• For Students who do NOT QUALIFY to attend this exciting Outbound experience, or who, by their own choice, decide not to go… –You will have a modified school schedule on Thursday and Friday.

(Classes will be combined for students not going ) –This schedule will include many colonial activities so that you too can dive into this period of time in greater detail.

Officially, what is next?

•Work hard to maintain good grades.

•THINK BEFORE YOU ACT! – Your behavior is your ticket to participate.
