A company is a new customer if it has not received R&D funding from Tekes during the last five years. The payments
made to joint projects have been allocated to the participants since 2006. Funding of feasibility studies was transferred
from Tekes to the TE Centres (ELY Centres) in 2008.

the last five years or which have an outstanding Tekes loan. About one percent of these go
bankrupt every year. Also about one percent of companies go bankrupt annually in Finland.
