Financials: Sports fees are set to yield a small increment of “profit” back to the PAA in order to
fund the development of the new fields being built on Moss Road. We have committed/expended
all reserves built during prior years of PAA operations ($80K), and are executing a 4-year plan to
cover the remaining expenses and build back some moderate reserve.

Father James G. Petry
Memorial Christian-Athlete Award
The “Father Jim Petry” scholarship is an annual cash
award given by the St. Paul Parish Athletic Association.
This award is given to one eighth-grade girl and one
eighth-grade boy who will continue their education at a
Catholic high school of their choice. It is presented at the
eight-grade graduation ceremony
This award is to be given to a boy and girl who have
above average athletic ability, are in good academic
standing and continually display characteristics of a good
Christian athlete. They should demonstrate leadership
qualities and be respectful of their coaches and their
fellow teammates, and at all times, exemplify good
sportsmanship.
Keep in mind that the choice you make represents St.
Paul Parish and our athletic program. The girl or boy
who meets the above requirements deserves to be
rewarded because they exemplify the characteristics of a
well-rounded Christian athlete.
Only Varsity coaches are eligible to vote. We ask that you
pick three 8th grade Christian student athletes who you
believe best exemplify the characteristics associated with
the Father Petry Award. While you need not have coached
them this year, you must have coached them for some
period during their time at St. Paul.

Attn: Joe O’Riordan

Dear Mr. Joe O’Riordan
Each year the St. Paul Parish Athletic Association (PAA) awards
“Father Jim Petry” scholarships to one eighth-grade girl and one
eighth-grade boy who will continue their education at a Catholic
high school of their choice.
This award is to be given to a boy and girl who have above
average athletic ability, are in good academic standing and
continually display characteristics of a good Christian athlete.
They have demonstrated leadership qualities and are respectful
of their coaches and their fellow teammates, and at all times,
exemplify good sportsmanship.
This year the award winner, that will be attending DeSales is:
1. Maria Reilly
This student has been awarded a $500 scholarship to be used
towards their DeSales tuition costs. I am enclosing a check for
$500 to cover the cost of this scholarship. I would appreciate it if
you could apply these funds to Averi Sherman’s DeSales tuition
account.
St. Paul Parish Athletic Association
Volunteers Needed
• This is a very large sports program
• It is 100% dependent on volunteer parents
• The sport's program is run by the PAA – board, commissioners & support staff
• The time commitment is very manageable when you have enough volunteers
• It is a commitment, a number of different people will be counting on you
Bottomline
It's a fun and rewarding experience and the program only exists because of
parents like you. We hope you are willing to help participate, whether it's as a
board member, a commissioner, a staff member or as a general volunteer.
Thank You !!
