Task 1: School Support Team
Using your data and knowing about the strategic school
design changes that are also being implemented in your
building indicated in your goals, objectives, strategies, and
activities of your school improvement plan, think about and
plan for ILC implementation for the entire academic-year.
Chart your plan to include the information below:
Where will you begin for the first cycle?
How will you continually increase the sphere of influence of the
ILC in the building?
What will the plan look like for each quarter of the 2014-2015
academic year?
Select the teachers you want to work with by name/subject in the
first cycle? How will you sell this process to them? You will be
meeting with these teachers in just a few minutes.
The Launch: Pre-Planning
Share your plan with the teachers you’ve chosen to
include in the first cycle.
The SST will teach these teachers specifically how to
implement all the components of the Instructional
Learning Cycle. These teachers will know nothing
about the ILC and this is a new and foreign way of
doing instruction. The SST will coach them through
the entire process.
Task: The SST will coach the teachers through the
Pre-Planning Phase of the ILC process. Next, the
SST will assist teachers in recording their data from
the Pre-Assessment on the the Classroom Results
Pre-Assessment form.
The Launch: Instructional-Planning
Task: The SST will coach the
teachers through the Instructional
Planning Phase of the ILC process.
Next, the SST will assist teachers in
recording their data from the PostAssessment and will record the data
on the the Classroom Results PostAssessment form.
The Launch: Follow-Up
Task: The SST will coach the
teachers through the Follow-Up
Phase of the ILC process. Next, the
SST will assist teachers in planning
how they will present their ILC Cycle
formally to the SST.
