Some benefits of studying
and/or teaching abroad…
• Professional Viability: join a network of distinguished
leaders/educators representing nearly every academic and
professional field.
• Teaching: gain broad experience and perspectives of the field to
enable me to work effectively with my students
• Professional Development: share information learned abroad
with colleagues and get more colleagues to engage
• Global Education: Advocate for global education
programs/projects, ready to be more engaged
• Networking: develop relationships with colleagues who I may not
have ever met (both in and out of my field.)
• Awareness/Life Experience: Living and working in a different
region and culture enhanced my understanding of the world,
enriched my life, and deepened awareness of my own country and
community.
