TPC undertook to conduct the revision with assistance and encouragement from ERMA & OSH.
Review committee convened by the TPC comprising:
Regulators (ERMA & OSH) Authorities (local government) Timber treatment industry Independent consultants Unions Chemical suppliers
Why Best Practice Guideline not a Code of Practice?
BPG more flexible and industry led.
Still endorsed by OSH as a preferred means of compliance with HSE.
ERMA may recognise parts of it as Code of Practice under HSNO.
