EM4800
Conduit for CT leads
and voltage connections
Example meter point: CTs installed
adjacent to a 3-phase circuit breaker;
8 meter points shown in diagram.
Schneider Electric - Power Monitoring – Feb 2011
A single PowerLogic
EM4800 multi-circuit
meter can replace up
to 8 three-phase
power meters,
resulting in significant
cost savings.
Select the loads to meter - even
if they are in different power
distribution panels. Note: the
panels must share a common
voltage reference

PowerLogic EM4800 series meter overview
The meters are available in three models. Measured values, communication
options, features and software support are consistent for all three models.
Select the model that you need for your specific project:
EM4833 - Uses 1/3 V output CTs
The best solution for retrofit projects
● Solid core and split core CTs
available
● Extra long leads supported – up to
100 m (325 feet)
● Shorting blocks not required
● Enclosure size:
EM4880 - Uses 80 mA output CTs
Used for new installations
● Solid core, 200 A primary CT
available
● Extra long leads supported – up
to 100 m (325 feet)
● Shorting blocks recommended
● Enclosure size:
33.5 cm x 30.5 cm x 5.5 cm
13.125 in x 12 in x 2.125 in
33.5 cm x 30.5 cm x 5.5 cm
13.125 in x 12 in x 2.125 in
EM4805 - Uses 5 A output CTs
Used for retrofits and new installations
● Industry standard CTs - available in a
wide range of sizes
● Solid core and split core CTs available
● Shorting blocks required
● Enclosure size:
33.5 cm x 44 cm x 5.5 cm
13.125 in x 17 in x 2.125 in

Schneider Electric - Power Monitoring – Feb 2011
Previously, building owners with dispersed loads would need
to install energy meters throughout their facility – but the
EM4800 provides a simpler solution:
80 mA and 1/3 V CTs support extra long lead lengths
of up to 100 m (325 feet) – you can monitor loads
throughout your facility with a single EM4800 meter!

The EM4800 can even
monitor panels on different
floors within the building
