Our second session
together we
Surveyed our strengths and
Weaknesses Using human
cameras.
Our third group together
Charles and his club taught
us about Plato’s
Cave. We heard a poem and
shared Issues inside the
poem from there we
Brainstormed possible ways
to address the problems
The fourth meeting was
our one million dollar
High/Scopeville city council
stimulation.
CCSI continued…
Where we used
our management and
budgeting skills.
During session five our
Groups were split into
two and were spilt in
two. Where we worked
on and learned power
point and oral
presentation skills.
In group six we did a
reflection on the farm
trip. Then we used our

Council
We go to council to talk to the
fire about their problems
when the were kids up to
teenagers.
We also go to council
because its been going on
for 42 yrs and is special to
everybody and like 4 5 or
6 people will be chosen to
do 3 skits at council and
after that we will all sit
down. and just sit and talk
to the fire and then
someone will talk about it
like the first night of
council they
did skits on mask and people
talked about like when
they went somewhere new
they put on a mask and
acted different around
other people but wasn’t
that real person, last night
we did a skit on the road
less traveled and people
talked about when like say
Adrian, he said that his
friends were going to an
amusement park for a
week and instead he came
here and he took the road
less traveled.
The Game of Life
For a evening activity
we played the game of
life. It taught us the
values of life. Our
identity's were a
secret. We were
treated the way
someone who either
has a lot or has very
little. It taught us
the moral values of
life.
and how others have
to live with being poor
or wealthy. We also
had to deal with
discrimination, which
can be the hardest
thing for some people.
It also opened our
minds to new things
and how life may turn
out to be for us.

Riddles
Two Glasses
A woman invites her enemies over for a drink on a
very hot day. She gives them each a glass of water
with ice cubes. One gulps his down and leaves,
unharmed. The other sips his for a hour and at the end
of the hour he dies. How did he die?

It has ten passengers. It stops and picks up 7 people
and lets off 2. It stops again and picks up 4 and lets off
2. How old is the driver?
Romeo and Juliet
A man comes home to find shards of glass and water
on the floor. He screams,” Oh no, Romeo and Juliet are
dead!” how did they die?
A Naked Dead Man

piece of straw. How did he die?

A man lives on the twentieth floor of an apartment
building. Everyday he rides the elevator to the 15th floor,
get out and takes the stairs the rest of the way up.
Except when its raining or when there are other people
on the elevator—then he rides all the way to the 20th
floor. Why do you think he does that?
Survivors
A plane crashed in the ocean right in between the
U.S. and England. In which country are the survivors
buried?
Train
A man and his son were riding bikes and were hit by
a train. The man was killed instantly and the son badly
injured. The ambulance took him to the hospital. The
emergency room surgeon looked at the boy and said,”
I can’t operate on him, he’s my son! Is that possible,
yes or no. Explain.

Fill up my cup, let it overflow
Fill up my cup, let it overflow
Let it overflow with Love.
Fill up my cup
Fill up my cup
Fill up my cup
Let it overflow with Love.
Circle Game
CHORUS
And the seasons
They go round and round
And the painted ponies
Go up and down
We’re captive on a carousel of
time
We can’t return, we can only
look
Behind from where we came
And go round and round and
round
In a circle game
Yesterday a child came out to
wonder
Caught a dragonfly inside a jar
Fearful when the sky was full of
thunder
And tearful at the falling of a star
CHORUS
16 Springs & 16 Summers gone
now
Cartwheels turn to car wheels
through the town
And they tell him take your time
it won’t be long
Till you drag your feet to slow
those circles down
THE WATER IS WIDE
The water is wide, I can’t
cross over
And neither have I wings to
fly
Build me a boat that can
carry two
And both shall row, my love
and I.
There is a ship that sails the
sea
A sea so deep, as deep can
be
But not so deep as the love
I’m in
And I know not if I sink or
swim
I leaned my back up against
an oak
I thought it was a trusty tree
But first it bent and then it
broke
As my true love proved false
to me.
Oh love is handsome
And love is kind
Sweet as a flower when it is
new
But love grow old and waxes
cold
and fades away like morning
dew.
Irish Blessing
May troubles be less,
And blessings be more
and nothing but happiness,
Come to your door.
And may you have luck
Wherever you go.
Your blessings outnumber
The shamrocks that grow.
May the wind be at your back.
And sun be overhead.
May friends be at your side.
wherever you are led.
If I Can Help Somebody
If I can help somebody
As I pass along
If I can cheer somebody
With a word or a song
If I can show somebody
They are traveling wrong
Then my living shall not
be in vain
My living shall not be in
vain (repeat)
If I can help somebody
As I pass along
Then my living shall not
be in vain

One Tin Solider
Listen children to a story that was
written long ago
Bout a kingdom on a mountain and
the valley folk below
On the mountain was a treasure
buried deep beneath the stone.
And the valley people swore they
have it for they’re very own
Chorus
Go ahead and hate your neighbor go
ahead and cheat a friend
Do it in the name of heaven you can
justify it in the end
They’re won’t be any trumpets
blowing on the judgment day but
on the bloody morning after
one tin solider rides away
chorus
CHORUS
So the people of the valley sent a
message up the hill,
Asking for the buried treasure, tons
of gold for which they’d kill
Came an answer form the mountain,
“with our brothers we will share all
the riches of the mountain, all the
treasure buried there.”
CHORUS
Now the valley cried with anger
”mount your horses, draw your
swords”
And they killed the mountain people,
so they won their just reward.
Now they stand beside the
treasure on the mountain dark
and red.
Turned the stone and looked beneath
it…
“Peace on Earth” was all it said.
CHORUS
Crawdad Song
You get a line, I’ll get a
pole, honey
You get a line, I get a
pole, babe
You get a line I’ll get a
pole
We’ll go down to the
Crawdad hole,
Honey, sugar babe of
mine
Here comes a man with
a sack on his back…
Packing all the crawdads
he can pack…
Get up old women ,you
slept to late…
The crawdad man done
past your gate …
What you gonna do
when the lake runs
dry…
Gonna sit on the bank
and watch the
crawdads die…

Big Yellow Taxi
They paved paradise and put
up a parking lot
With a pink hotel a boutique
and a swinging hot spot
CHORUS
Don’t it always seem to go
that you don’t know what

paved paradise and put up
a parking lot
Bop bop oooooo bop bop!
They took all the trees
And put them in a tree

And they charge all the
people a dollar and half
just to see them
CHORUS
Hey farmer, farmer,
Put away your DDT now
Give me spots on my apples
but leave me the birds and
the bees
Please
CHORUS
Late last night
I heard the screen door slam
And a big yellow taxi
Took away my old man
Proper Cup of Coffee
All I want is a proper cup of coffee
Made in a proper copper coffee pot
I may be off my dot
But I want a proper cup of coffee
In a proper, copper coffee pot
Iron pots and tin coffee pots
They are no use to me.
If I can’t have a proper cup of coffee from a
proper copper coffee pot
I’ll have a cup of tea.

WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO
COME TO H/S?
Because I went to H/S Elementary
had the best educational experience
of my life. Learning at H/S makes
sense to me and I wanted to learn
how to create the experience for
others so they too could experience
this down-to-earth bliss.
WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST
IMPRESSION OF H/S?
Magical- to put it in a word.
Beautiful, natural surroundings and
the exciting challenge of creating
a functioning learning community.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORTIE
TIME OF DAY? Evening
Program--coming together to learn
with and from each other.
FAVORITE MEAL?
Pizza, veggie stir fry, grilled
cheese & tomato soup.
HOW MANY TIMES HAVE
YOU WORKED HERE?
Six; once as a staff and five times
as a director.
Joe Bertoletti
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO
COME TO H/S? I heard that
it was sort of like a cult,
but it was a good one. I

thought it would be fun.

Programs and camping out
overnight.

perch dinner

“Ride life to the fullest, don’t let
life ride you.”
Remember
the people you met and the
songs you sang
remember
the time you spent and the
friends you made
remember
All the fun you had and all the
things you heard trying new
things and never giving up
remember
Cause these things are
memories that you don’t want
to forget.
Kaneesha
When I’m in my room, I like to
stay calm. By calm I mean listen
To slow music, write poetry or
Just relax. I might talk on the
Phone or play video games. When
I’m in my room I like to clean it,
even if it’s already clean. I stay to
myself when I’m in my room. I have
Strange feelings in my room. What
do you do when your in your room?
I might sleep or I might stay awake.
I’ll watch my favorite movie in my
Room. I dance crazy in my room.
The kitchen is straight when it comes
To my room. But I like to get my
grub on. I like to go shopping in my room
It may sound silly but it’s possible. Just
Take out your best outfits your money and
Just shop. I get cursed out in my room, I
Hang out the window just to talk to my
friends. and I have dates in my room. I
eat in my room. I watch my neighbors
Fight in my room. The reason I like my
room is because I always on punishment.
And the rule is to stay in your room. But
hey it’s fun to just chill in my room. Just
To be stuck in my room. Now that’s the
story of what I like to do in my room.
Kaneesha
Evil Love
I love you
you hate me
I trust you
you disobey me
I make a decision
you disagree
I tell the truth,
you lie to me
You think I cheat
so then you cheat
You go have fun
and I can’t sleep
I let it go
you bring it up
I treat you right
but guess what
You do me out
so then I leave
I let you go
then you love me.
Kaneesha
The way you look is not a curse you may not care
The way it seems is not something you may not bare
You may not help it it’s the way you came
They may look down don’t let it eat you
No matter what they say
Cause a ugly appearance
May be in a sexy looking way
