The relationship between SHGE and NWTC works
• The cohesion and success of the combined SGHE and
NWTC staffs should be held as the flagship for other
SGHE managed sites to base their security programs.
This cohesion extends to other NWTC staff members
outside the IT organization.

The relationship between SHGE and NWTC works
• While on site, the assessment team and NWTC staff happened
upon a Linux machine that was not running anti-virus software.
This was remediated, and an informal check to ensure other similar
Linux systems were protected was quickly instituted. That the
administrators involved for these systems did not try to
project blame onto other staff members, illustrates the
working environment that has been fostered at NWTC.
• All staff, whether employed by SGHE or NWTC work together
to solve problems to increase reliability and security of the
networking infrastructure.
