About us
MASK PLAYERS ART GROUP is a registered organization working with
children and adults. It has been active in Delhi and other parts of India,
promoting meaningful theatre for a social cause. The has led various
government projects reflecting the same.
The group members are highly skilled and have been
associated with different aspects of theatre for over a decade. Members of the
group have trained from National School of Drama and other prestigious
institutes. The group has performed in Common Wealth Games 2010 and other
national and international festivals. MPAG has been supported by Sahitya
Kala Parishad and Sangeet Natak Academy.

Summer theatre workshop
MPAG offers a process oriented workshop. The duration of the workshop is 15 days
with working time of 3 hrs daily. It aims at evolving different components of theatre
through interpersonal interaction to self reflection. Children learn to work in
groups, attitudinal rigidity is broken to foster adaptable and cooperative behaviours.
Imagination and creativity is honed through games and theatre techniques that
encourage children to construct their own play. The workshop includes• Observation and Expression
• Mind and body synchronisation
• Voice and Speech
• Overcome Stage fear and building self confidence
• Building cooperation and social skills
• Improvisations and character building
• Final act where children will put up a small informal presentation for parents

Founder
Chander Shekhar Sharma
Director MPAG
Chandra Shekhar has explored his creativity both as an actor, director and
writer. In 2013 he was felicitated with the Young Director’s Award by Sahitya
Kala Parishad. He comes with over 15yrs of experience in the field. He has his
training in acting from the prestigious Shri Ram Centre, Delhi. He has been
associated with National School of Drama’s Theatre in Education division,
Sahitya Kala Parishad, National Bal Bhawan and Centre for Cultural
Research and Training. Chandra Shekhar has made a number of short films
and documentaries and is currently director of ‘Sansani’ on ABP News
Channel.

Ashwath Bhatt is one of the founder member of MPAG. NSD Graduate &
visiting faculty to various institutions in India & Abroad. Ashwath has done
P.G associate-ship in classical acting from Lambda London. Acted under the
Direction of various Indian & foreign luminaries, Ashwath Bhatt has
conducted many workshops for children in Bremerhaven-Germany, Bol,
Brac Island Croatia, Katmandu, Birmingham-UK etc.
Researching on folk theatre of Kashmir & leading war stories project on behalf
of MPAG with AZ theatre group U.K.
