Vision

Initial vision from Conference held May 2012 The key theme is about

improving quality of life

– an overarching narrative which is relevant for all partners and - meets priorities of LEPs, local authorities, health and wellbeing partnerships, and many NGOs.

Strategic vision:

The natural and historic environment will be in a vibrant and healthy condition such that the economy, people and local communities derive significant benefits from the full range of goods and services that it provides and sustains.

Key decision-makers and influencers will engage in and champion the need to actively integrate enhancement of the natural environment with economic growth.

The loss of biodiversity in Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull will have been halted and reversed. Key habitats will have been restored, enhanced and connected at a landscape scale.

Local people will value and feel connected to their local environment.

Creating an evidence-based strategic framework

landscape scale that contributes to enhanced at a biodiversity, water and air quality and sustainable living.

to create a healthy natural environment and improve the range of benefits and services we receive from it.

Promoting actions and projects

which enhance the quality of existing habitats and

expand the area

under sensitive environmental management.

Engaging, inspiring and informing people in urban and rural communities

seek new opportunities

to deliver economic, social, health and environmental benefits.
