 Go to https://swtjc.regroup.com/signup
 Under "Returning Student" type in the email address that SWTJC has





assigned you (your portal email address) and click “Forgot your
password”.
Type in your email address again and click “Reset Password”.
You’ll receive an email from [email protected] with a link to reset
your password. You may need to check your spam folder for the email.
Use the link to create your new password
.On the Regroup site https://swtjc.regroup.com/signup, you can add cell
phone numbers to receive emergency-related messages by text or voice,
be sure to add your carrier information as well. Additional email
addresses can be added too, as well as setting up your account to
receive the alerts by Twitter or Facebook.
If these steps do not work, please email the Helpdesk
([email protected]) to resolve the issue.
What to expect in an emergency
 Active Shooter
 Inclimate weather ; tornado, flooding, wildfire
 Campus Closures
What does it mean ?
 Shelter in place
 Evacuate
 All clear
What do you tell your students ?
 Stay calm and keep communicating.
 Keep accountability of all your students.
 Do your best in keeping everyone together.
 If a police action is taking place, Leave all backpacks behind.
 Go to a designated safe place and stay there until a
recognized voice tells you it’s clear to come out.
 Write down what you know of the incident ASAP.
Pre-planning
 Know where you are if you need to contact emergency
services.
 Know where to go that is safe.
 Know how to secure your position and barricade the door.
How to summon help by calling 9-1-1
 Do Not call for non-emergency incidents.
 From your cell phone or any campus phone, 9-1-1 works.
 Do briefly describe the type of incident you are reporting
 Do stay on the line and let the call taker ask the questions.
 Do Not hang up until told to do so by the call taker.
What to expect when Law enforcement
arrive during an active shooter event.
 They have arrived to eliminate the threat.
 They will do what it takes to secure the scene
 Arguments will not be accepted, conversations will not be




entertained.
Do as you are instructed to make things easier.
They are not there to be your friend, but to save lives.
Agencies from all over the region may respond.
They may ignore the injured if the scene is not secure.

searchable, integrated information on courses provided or
managed by FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness
(CDP), Emergency Management Institute (EMI), and
National Training and Education Division (NTED). The
online course catalog is now available.
