‫اشتهت الملكة هيالنة أن تنظر خشبة الصليب المقدس التي صلب السيد عليها فلم تمل البتة بل‬
‫ كان فرح اليوم في السماء وعلى‬.‫كانت تطلبه باشتياق واجتهاد حتى وجدته من أجل أمانتها‬
‫ نسجد للصليب الخشبة الغير المائتة التي صلب السيد‬.‫األرض من أجل ظهور الصليب المحي‬
.‫عليها حتى خلصنا من خطايانا‬
Queen Helen desired to see
the holy wood of the Cross on
which the Lord was crucified.
She longed for it diligently and
she did not rest. Because of
her faith, she found it. This day
is a day of rejoicing in heaven
and on earth for the
appearance of the life-giving
Cross. We bow to the Cross,
the immortal wood on which
Christ was crucified to save us
from our sins.
‫ ومضت إلى أورشليم لتطلب الصليب‬،‫ وأخذت معها ثالثة آالف جندي‬،‫قامت هيالنة الملكة‬
‫ فصلى‬.‫ لو وصل األمر إلى أن نموت كلنا ال نظهر الصليب‬:‫فتشاور اليهود مع بعضهم قائلين‬
‫ يا‬.‫ أيها الرب اإلله الضابط الكل رب الصباؤوت الجالس على الشاروبيم أظهر لنا‬:‫يهوذا قائالا‬
.‫من قاس السماء بشبره واألرض بقبضته أظهر صليبك لكي يتمجد اسمك القدوس‬
Queen Helen went with three
thousand soldiers to Jerusalem
to ask for the Cross. The Jews
consulted together saying, “We
will not show the Cross, even if
we have to die.” So Judas
prayed, saying, “O Lord the
Almighty, the Lord of Hosts, Who
is sitting on the Cherubim, show
us. O You, Who measured the
heavens by the span of Your
hands and the earth with Your
fist, show Your Cross for the
glory of Your holy name.”
‫ ولما‬.‫ وأعبق طيب رفيع عظيم الكرامة‬.‫وفي تلك الساعة افترقت األرض إلى ثالثة طرق‬
‫ وفي تلك الساعة جاوزا‬.‫حفروا وجدوا ثلثة صلبان معا ا ولم يعلموا أيما هو صليب مخلصنا‬
‫ ولما وضعوا عليه الصليب األول‬.‫ فأمر يهوذا أن يضعوا نعش الميت على األرض‬.‫بميت‬
.‫والثاني ولم يقم وضعوا الصليب الثالث فجلس الميت‬
When they dug they found the
three Crosses but they could
not identify which one belonged
to our Savior. At this hour,
some people passed by while
carrying a coffin. Judas ordered
them to lay it down. On the
coffin, they put the first cross,
then the second cross, but the
dead person did not rise. When
they put the third cross on the
coffin, the dead person sat up.
‫ مبارك الرب يسوع‬:‫ وجميع الشعب معا ا صارخين قائلين‬.‫فخرت الملكة هيالنة وسجدت له‬
.‫ له المجد دائما ا‬.‫وصليبه المحي الذي صلب عليه حتى خلص شعبه‬
Queen Helen kneeled in
worship. The people all
together were crying and
saying, “Blessed is the Lord
Jesus and His life-giving Cross
on which He was crucified to
save His people.” To Him the
Glory forever. Amen

‫ السالم للصليب الشجرة‬.‫السالم للصليب عالمة الظفر الذي أعطى للمسيحيين ليتقووا من قبله‬
‫ السالم للصليب عالمة الخالص الذي‬.‫التي في الفردوس التي أغصانها العطرية تحي كل أحد‬
‫ السالم لك أيها الصليب الذي طلبته الملكة هيالنة‬.‫رآه قسطنطين يضيء في وسط السماء‬
.‫باجتهاد حتى وجدته مع المسامير‬
Hail to the Cross, the sign of
victory that was given to the
Christians for strengthening.
Hail to the Cross the tree, lifted
up to the heavens, whose
sweet-smelling branches give
life to everyone. Hail to the
Cross, the sign of salvation that
Constantine saw shining in the
heavens. Hail to the Cross, that
was diligently sought by Queen
Helen until she found it along
with the nails.
‫ السالم‬.‫السالم للصليب الذي جعل في المياه المرة فصارت حلوة وشرب منها المؤمنون‬
‫ السالم للصليب فخر‬.‫للصليب الذي استحق أن يؤمن به اسحق السامري وكل الذين معه‬
‫ السالم للصليب المنارة الذهب المصفى‬.‫المسيحيين الذي صلب عليه الرب حتى خلص شعبه‬
.‫التي أوقد عليها المصباح الذي هو عمانوئيل‬
Hail to the cross that was put in
the bitter water, which was
rendered sweet to quench the
thirst of the faithful. Hail to the
Cross that deserved to be
believed in by Isaac the
Samaritan and all those who
were with him. Hail to the Cross,
the pride of the Christians, on
which the Lord was crucified to
save his people. Hail to the
Cross, the lamp stand of pure
gold on which the lamp,
Emmanuel, was lit.
‫ السالم للصليب الرشم الذي ال‬.‫السالم للصليب قضيب خشبة اللوز الذي قطر عليه دم الحمل‬
‫ السالم للصليب الذي صلب الرب عليه فبسط يديه‬.‫يحل الذي في يد العالي مثل تاج مزخرف‬
‫ ومن قبل عود الصليب‬،‫ من قبل شجرة واحدة نفى آدم إلى خارج الفردوس‬.‫وجذب كل أحد إليه‬
.‫ فنسأل الرب المتحنن أن ينعم لنا بغفران خطايانا‬.‫المبارك رد إلى رتبة مرة أخرى‬
Hail to the Cross, the wooden
scepter on which the blood of the
lamb was shed. Hail to the Cross,
the indispensable sign in the
hands of the Highest like a
decorated crown. Hail to the Cross
on which our Savior was crucified,
and He lifted His hands and
invited everyone. Because of a
tree, Adam was chased out of the
paradise, and because of the
blessed Cross, he returned to his
rank once more. We ask the
compassionate Lord to grant us
the forgiveness of our sins.
It is through His Cross:
and His Holy Resurrection:
He returned mankind:
once more to Paradise.

him, “Follow Me.” Now
Philip was from Bethsaida,
the city of Andrew and
Peter. Philip found
Nathanael and said to
him:“We have found Him of
whom Moses in the law, and
also the prophets,

Galilée. Il trouve Philippe
et lui dit: "Suis-moi." Or,
Philippe était de
Bethsaïda, la ville d'André
et de Pierre. Il va trouver
Nathanaël et lui dit:"Celui

out of Nazareth?” Philip
said to him, “Come and
see.” Jesus saw Nathanael
coming toward Him, and
said of him:“Behold, an
Israelite indeed, in whom
is no deceit!”

Israélite en qui il n'est point
d'artifice."

Nathanael said to Him,
“How do You know me?”
Jesus answered and said
to him “Before Philip called
you, when you were under
the fig tree, I saw you.”
Nathanael answered and
said to Him, “Rabbi, You
are the Son of God!
"D'où me connais-tu?" lui
dit Nathanaël; et Jésus de
répondre:"Avant même
que Philippe ne t'appelât,
alors que tu étais sous le
figuier, je t'ai vu."
Nathanaël reprit:
"Rabbi, tu es le fils de
Dieu,
‫ومالئكة هللا يصعدون وينزلون على‬:‫ أجاب يسوع وقال له‬.‫أنت هو ملك إسرائيل‬
‫ والمجد هلل دائما‬.‫إبن البشر‬
You are the King of
Israel!” Jesus answered
and said to him, and the
angels of God ascending
and descending upon the
Son of Man.”

For indeed, as soon as the
voice of your greeting
sounded in my ears, the
babe leaped in my womb
for joy. Blessed is she who

fulfillment of those things
which were told her from

said:“My soul magnifies
the Lord, And my spirit has
rejoiced in God my Savior.

For He has regarded the
lowly state of His
maidservant; For behold,
henceforth all generations
will call me blessed. For
He who is mighty has
done great things for me,
And holy is His name. And
His mercy is on those who
fear Him From generation
to generation. He has
shown strength with His
arm;
parce qu'il a porté son
regard sur son humble
servante. Oui, désormais,
toutes les générations me
proclameront bienheureuse,
parce que le Tout Puissant
a fait pour moi de grandes
choses: saint est son Nom.
Sa bonté s'étend de

Mary remained with her
about three months, and
returned to her house.

A ces mots, elle fut très
troublée, et elle se
demandait ce que
pouvait signifier cette

Do not be afraid, Mary, for
you have found favor with
God. And behold, you will

call His name JESUS. He

Highest; and the Lord God
will give Him the throne of
His father David.
Sois sans crainte, Marie,
car tu as trouvé grâce
auprès de Dieu. Voici que
tu vas être enceinte, tu
enfanteras un fils et tu lui
donneras le nom de
Jésus. Il sera grand et
sera appelé fils du Très
Haut. Le Seigneur Dieu

voici qu'Elisabeth, ta
parente, est elle aussi
enceinte d'un fils dans sa
vieillesse et elle en est à
son sixième mois, elle

Now when they drew near

with her. Loose them and
bring them to Me.

Jérusalem et arrivèrent près

Oliviers, alors Jésus envoya
deux disciples en leur
disant: "Allez au village qui
est devant vous; vous
trouverez aussitôt une
ânesse attachée et un ânon
avec elle; détachez-la et
amenez-les-moi.

And if anyone says
anything to you, you shall
say, ‘The Lord has need
of them,’ and immediately
he will send them.” All this
was done that it might be
fulfilled which was spoken
by the prophet, saying:
“Tell the daughter of Zion,
‘Behold, your King is
coming to you, Lowly, and
sitting on a donkey, A colt,
the foal of a donkey.’”
Et si quelqu'un vous dit
quelque chose, vous
répondrez: "Le Seigneur en
a besoin", et il les laissera
aller tout de suite.” Cela est
arrivé pour que
s'accomplisse ce qu'a dit le
prophète: Dites à la fille
Sion: Voici que ton roi vient
à toi, humble et monté sur
une ânesse et sur un ânon,
le petit d'une bête de
somme.

So the disciples went and
did as Jesus commanded
them. They brought the
donkey and the colt, laid
their clothes on them, and
set Him on them. And a
very great multitude
spread their clothes on
the road; others cut down
branches from the trees
and spread them on the
road.
Les disciples s'en allèrent et,
comme Jésus le leur avait
prescrit, ils amenèrent
l'ânesse et l'ânon; puis ils
disposèrent sur eux leurs
vêtements, et Jésus s'assit
dessus.
Le peuple, en foule, étendit
ses vêtements sur la route;
certains coupaient des
branches aux arbres et en
jonchaient la route.
‫أوصنا إلبن‬: ‫والجموع الذين تقدموا والذين تبعوا كانوا يصرخون قائلين‬
‫ مبارك اآلتى باسم الرب ولما دخل أورشليم أرتجت المدينة كلها‬.‫داود‬
‫من هذا؟فقالت الجموع هذا يسوع النبى الذى من ناصرة الجليل‬:‫قائلة‬
Then the multitudes who
went before and those who
followed cried out, saying:
“Hosanna to the Son of
David! ‘ Blessed is He who
comes in the name of the
LORD! ’Hosanna in the
highest!” And when He had
come into Jerusalem, all the
city was moved, saying
"Who is this?” So the
multitudes said, “This is
Jesus, the prophet from
Nazareth of Galilee.”
Glory be to God forever.
Les foules qui marchaient
devant lui et celles qui le
suivaient, criaient: "Hosanna
au Fils de David! Béni soit au
nom du Seigneur Celui qui
vient! Hosanna au plus haut
des cieux!".
Quand Jésus entra dans
Jérusalem, toute la ville fut en
émoi: "Qui est-ce?" disait-on;
et les foules répondaient:
"C'est le prophète Jésus, de
Nazareth en Galilée."

Je vous le déclare, parmi
ceux qui sont nés d'une
femme, aucun n'est plus
grand que Jean; et cependant
le plus petit dans le Royaume
de Dieu est plus grand que
lui. Tout le peuple en
l'écoutant et même les
collecteurs d'impôts ont
reconnu la justice de Dieu
en se faisant baptiser du
baptême de Jean.

But the Pharisees and
lawyers rejected the will of
God for themselves, not
having been baptized by
him. And the Lord said, To
what then shall I liken the
men of this generation,
and what are they like?
They are like children
sitting in the marketplace
and calling to one another,
saying:

dessein que Dieu avait pour

‘We played the flute for
you, And you did not
dance; We mourned to

Baptist came neither
eating bread nor drinking
wine, and you say, ‘He
has a demon.’ The Son of
Man has come eating
and drinking, and
you say,

En effet, Jean le Baptiste est
venu, il ne mange pas de
pain, il ne boit pas de vin,

your King coming, carrying his wage

lambs. Arise and decorate your gates
for the Son of God is coming. With

to the economy. He sat on the earth

The sons of the Hebrews spread their
garments in His way. The Cherubim
were covering their faces with their

The following day Jesus

him, “Follow Me.” Now

Peter. Philip found
Nathanael and said to
him:“We have found Him of
whom Moses in the law, and
also the prophets,

Galilée. Il trouve Philippe
et lui dit: "Suis-moi." Or,
Philippe était de
Bethsaïda, la ville d'André
et de Pierre. Il va trouver
Nathanaël et lui dit:"Celui

en hâte pour se rendre

Or, lorsqu'Elisabeth
entendit la salutation de
Marie, l'enfant bondit dans

and Elizabeth was filled
with the Holy Spirit. Then
she spoke out with a loud
voice and said, “Blessed
are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of
your womb! But why is this
granted to me, that the
mother of my Lord should
come to me?

For indeed, as soon as the
voice of your greeting
sounded in my ears, the
babe leaped in my womb
for joy. Blessed is she who
believed, for there will be a
fulfillment of those things
which were told her from
the Lord.” And Mary
said:“My soul magnifies
the Lord, And my spirit has
rejoiced in God my Savior.
Car lorsque ta salutation a
retenti à mes oreilles, voici
que l'enfant a bondi
d'allégresse en mon sein.
Bienheureuse celle qui a
cru: ce qui lui a été dit de la
part du Seigneur
s'accomplira!" Alors Marie
dit:"Mon âme exalte le
Seigneur et mon esprit s'est
rempli d'allégresse à cause
de Dieu, mon Sauveur,
‫ألنه نظر إلى اتضاع أمته فهوذا منذ اآلن جميع األجيال تطوبنى ألن‬
‫القدير صنع بى عظائم واسمه قدوس ورحمته إلى جيل األجيال للذين‬
‫ صنع قوة بذراعه‬.‫يتقونه‬
For He has regarded the
lowly state of His
maidservant; For behold,
henceforth all generations
will call me blessed. For
He who is mighty has
done great things for me,
And holy is His name. And
His mercy is on those who
fear Him From generation
to generation. He has
shown strength with His
arm;
parce qu'il a porté son
regard sur son humble
servante. Oui, désormais,
toutes les générations me
proclameront bienheureuse,
parce que le Tout Puissant
a fait pour moi de grandes
choses: saint est son Nom.
Sa bonté s'étend de
génération en génération
sur ceux qui le craignent. Il
est intervenu de toute la
force de son bras;

in the imagination of their

helped His servant Israel,
In remembrance of His
mercy,

fathers, To Abraham and
to his seed forever.” And
Mary remained with her
about three months, and
returned to her house.

the angel Gabriel was

considered what manner of

joyeuse, toi qui as la
faveur de Dieu, le
Seigneur est avec toi."
A ces mots, elle fut très
troublée, et elle se
demandait ce que
pouvait signifier cette
salutation. L'ange lui dit:

ِ ‫ألنك قد وجدت نعمة عند هللا وها أن‬

.‫وتلدين إبنا ا وتسميه يسوع هذا يكون عظيما ا وإبن العلى يدعى‬

Do not be afraid, Mary, for
you have found favor with
God. And behold, you will
conceive in your womb and
bring forth a Son, and shall
call His name JESUS. He
will be great, and will be
called the Son of the
Highest; and the Lord God
will give Him the throne of
His father David.
Sois sans crainte, Marie,
car tu as trouvé grâce
auprès de Dieu. Voici que
tu vas être enceinte, tu
enfanteras un fils et tu lui
donneras le nom de
Jésus. Il sera grand et
sera appelé fils du Très
Haut. Le Seigneur Dieu
lui donnera le trône de

house of Jacob forever, and
of His kingdom there will be
no end.” Then Mary said to
the angel, “How can this be,
since I do not know a man?”
And the angel answered
and said to her , “The Holy
Spirit will come upon you,
and the power of the
Highest will overshadow
you;

Now indeed, Elizabeth your
relative has also conceived
a son in her old age; and

appelé Fils de Dieu. Et
voici qu'Elisabeth, ta
parente, est elle aussi
enceinte d'un fils dans sa
vieillesse et elle en est à
son sixième mois, elle

‘I do not know you, where

Then he allowed Him.

And if anyone says
anything to you, you shall

sitting on a donkey, A colt,

Et si quelqu'un vous dit
quelque chose, vous
répondrez: "Le Seigneur en
a besoin", et il les laissera
aller tout de suite.” Cela est
arrivé pour que

Sion: Voici que ton roi vient
à toi, humble et monté sur

So the disciples went and
did as Jesus commanded
them. They brought the
donkey and the colt, laid
their clothes on them, and
set Him on them. And a
very great multitude
spread their clothes on
the road; others cut down
branches from the trees
and spread them on the
road.
Les disciples s'en allèrent et,
comme Jésus le leur avait
prescrit, ils amenèrent
l'ânesse et l'ânon; puis ils
disposèrent sur eux leurs
vêtements, et Jésus s'assit
dessus.
Le peuple, en foule, étendit
ses vêtements sur la route;
certains coupaient des
branches aux arbres et en
jonchaient la route.

highest!” And when He had
come into Jerusalem, all the
city was moved, saying
"Who is this?” So the
multitudes said, “This is
Jesus, the prophet from
Nazareth of Galilee.”

Les foules qui marchaient
devant lui et celles qui le
suivaient, criaient: "Hosanna
au Fils de David! Béni soit au
nom du Seigneur Celui qui
vient! Hosanna au plus haut
des cieux!".
Quand Jésus entra dans
Jérusalem, toute la ville fut en
émoi: "Qui est-ce?" disait-on;
et les foules répondaient:
"C'est le prophète Jésus, de

For I say to you, among
those born of women
there is not a greater
prophet than John the
Baptist; but he who is
least in the kingdom of
God is greater than he.”
And when all the people
heard Him, even the tax
collectors justified God,
having been baptized
with the baptism of John.
Je vous le déclare, parmi
ceux qui sont nés d'une
femme, aucun n'est plus
grand que Jean; et cependant
le plus petit dans le Royaume
de Dieu est plus grand que
lui. Tout le peuple en
l'écoutant et même les
collecteurs d'impôts ont
reconnu la justice de Dieu
en se faisant baptiser du
baptême de Jean.
‫وأما الفريسيون والناموسيون رفضوا مشورة هللا من جهة أنفسهم غير‬

:‫يشبهون أوالداا جالسين فى السوق ينادون بعضهم بعضا ا ويقولون‬
But the Pharisees and
lawyers rejected the will of
God for themselves, not
having been baptized by
him. And the Lord said, To
what then shall I liken the
men of this generation,
and what are they like?
They are like children
sitting in the marketplace
and calling to one another,
saying:
Mais les Pharisiens et les
légistes ont repoussé le
dessein que Dieu avait pour
eux, en ne se faisant pas
baptiser par lui. A qui donc
vais-je comparer les
hommes de cette
génération? A qui sont-ils
comparables? Ils sont
comparables à des enfants
assis sur la place et qui
s'interpellent les uns les
autres en disant:
‫ ألنه جاء يوحنا المعمدان ال‬.‫زمرنا لكم فلم ترقصوا نحنا لكم فلم تبكوا‬
‫ جاء إبن اإلنسان يأكل‬.‫يأكل خبزاا وال يشرب خمراا فتقولون به شيطان‬
‫ويشرب فتقولون‬
‘We played the flute for
you, And you did not
dance; We mourned to
you, And you did not
weep.’ For John the
Baptist came neither
eating bread nor drinking
wine, and you say, ‘He
has a demon.’ The Son of
Man has come eating
and drinking, and
you say,
"Nous vous avons joué de la
flûte, et vous n'avez pas
dansé; Nous avons entonné
un chant funèbre, et vous
n'avez pas pleuré."
En effet, Jean le Baptiste est
venu, il ne mange pas de
pain, il ne boit pas de vin,
et vous dites: "Il a perdu la
tête." Le Fils de l'homme est
venu, il mange, il boit,
et vous dites:
‫هوذا إنسان أكول وشريب خمر محب للعشارين والخطاة والحكمة‬
.‫تبررت من جميع بنيها‬
‫والمجد هلل دائما‬
‘Look, a glutton and a
winebibber, a friend of
tax collectors and
sinners!’ But wisdom is
justified by all her
children.”
"Voilà un glouton et un
ivrogne, un ami des
collecteurs d'impôts et des
pécheurs." Mais la Sagesse a
été reconnue par tous ses
enfants."
