Where are we now?: An integral part of Hamilton Presbytery One of only 2 community buildings in the area In a large expanding residential private housing area Small membership in relation to area size and demographic In a 20 year old building in need of modernisation

Where do we want to be?: A vibrant, caring worshipping body of Christ’s church constantly seeking to bring the Good News to those in our area who have yet to hear it At the heart of our local community Inextricably woven into the fabric of our community Financially, self sufficient meeting our commitments to the church both local and national

What do we want to do?: Kirk Session have given prayerful consideration to this for almost 2 years and are united in their plans for the future of our church Work in coming years to ensure the church building is brought to a standard that sustains the activities and aspirations of the congregation along with carefully planned and executed mission programmes within Mossneuk Kirk Session has been working with an architect to consider how best to achieve this in a forward thinking and responsible manner

How will we get there?: Architect drawings have been prepared for:

the refurbishment and reconfiguration of the sanctuary and foyer
•
relocation of the kitchen and vestry
•
an extension to the front of the building to provide a café/meeting area These plans are being shared with you today and copies of the relevant plans are available to view in the foyer

Is this feasible for us?: We have submitted our outline plans to Hamilton Presbytery Presbytery has granted approval to proceed to seek external funding to meet the costs which are estimated at around £375,000 Evelyn Dickson, Property Consultant to Hamilton Presbytery has been engaged to identify and apply for external funding on our behalf External funds will be supplemented by funds already held and carefully selected fund raising activities will be planned There will be
