Away In A Manger
(Murray)
VERSE 1
Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,
The little Lord Jesus
Laid down His sweet head.
The stars in the night sky
Looked down where He lay,
The little Lord Jesus,
Asleep on the hay.
VERSE 2
The cattle are lowing, the Baby awakes,
The little Lord Jesus,
Some crying He makes.
He is the Messiah, the King over all,
Our God in the flesh,
Though was born in a stall.
VERSE 3
The little Lord Jesus, grew into a man,
To die for us sinners, to reconcile Man.
We praise You, Lord Jesus,
Alive from the grave,
You've honoured Your Father,
And we, You have saved.
VERSE 4
You're near me, Lord Jesus,
You've promised to stay
Close by me forever,
Your love will not fade.
Bless all the dear children
In Your tender care
And fit us for Heaven
To live with You there.
