Registration
• Time to start thinking about choosing your classes for
freshman year of high school!!
• Refer to Plan of Study book (course descriptions) when
filling out registration card.
• We will be attending your SGMS Advisement night on
March 18, 4:00-8:00 PM
*Honors vs. non
honors
• Honors classes are denoted by an * on your
registration sheet.
• You MUST take 4 honors classes per semester
if you are trying to be in the top 10% of your
graduating class.

• There is a place on your registration card to write in
alternates.
• These are classes you agree to take if your other class
selections cannot be filled.
• You will NOT be allowed to change your schedule into
a class not circled or written in as an alternate on your
registration card.
Alternates
• Look at your registration card now!
• List 1 year-long alternates (1 credit)
• List 4 semester long alternates (1/2 credit)
Do not list something you have circled on your card as an
alternate! They need to be different classes!
A+ PROGRAM
• A+ IS A PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES
FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS WHO
ARE:
• Going to be enrolled full time at a participating
Community College or Vocational two year school.
A+ PROGRAM
• ELIGIBILITY REQUIRMENTS:
• ENTER INTO A WRITTEN AGREEMENT
• ATTEND AN A+ DESIGNATED HIGH SCHOOL FOR
THREE CONSECUTIVE YEARS
• OVERALL GPA OF 2.5 OR HIGHER ON 4.0 SCALE
• HAVE AT LEAST 95% ATTENDANCE OVERALL FOR 912
• PERFORM AT LEAST 50 HOURS OF UNPAID
TUTORING OF WHICH 25% MAY INCLUDE JOB
SHADOWING
• MAINTAIN A RECORD OF GOOD CITIZENSHIP
• SCORE ADVANCED OR PROFICIENT ON THE
ALGEBRA I END OF COURSE EXAM
