Abraham begins with a
willing heart
• Abram to God: “HERE AM I.” vs 1
• Later vs 11: “HERE AM I.”
• Isa 6:8 “Here am I Lord, send ME.”
• Prophecy: Isa 58:9 “Then shalt
thou call and Jehovah will answer
you ‘Here Am I.’ ”
• Fulfilled: Matt 1:23 Immanuel
• Literally: “I am Here”

• Long awaited only begotten son.
• Similar births – both miraculous!

• Then Solomon began to build the house
of the LORD in Jerusalem on Mount

• Heb 11:17-19 By faith Abraham, when
he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he
who had received the promises was
offering up his only begotten son; 18 it
was he to whom it was said, "IN ISAAC
YOUR DESCENDANTS SHALL BE
CALLED." 19 He considered that God is
able to raise people even from the dead,
from which he also received him back

which would be willing to die to do
the Father’s will.
"Jehovah Jireh"= The Lord
will provide!
As you partake . . .
• God did not ask Abraham to do
what He was not willing to do
Himself!
• This demonstrates His love for
us.

James 2:21-24
21 Was not Abraham our father justified
by works when he offered up Isaac his
son on the altar? 22 You see that faith
was working with his works, and as a
result of the works, faith was
perfected; 23 and the Scripture was
fulfilled which says, "AND ABRAHAM
BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS
RECKONED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS," and he was called the
friend of God. 24 You see that a man is
justified by works and not by faith

"Jehovah Jireh"= The Lord
will provide!
Will you call out to God?
• If so, God has responded saying
“I am here.”
• Jesus = Immanuel.
• Do you believe in Him?
