Faculty at IIMB

• IIMB is one of the few institutions in India with strong faculty strength and depth • IIMB faculty strength consists of about 80 full time faculty representing variety of disciplines – Economics and Social Sciences, Quantitative Techniques, Production and operations, Finance and Control, Marketing, Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources Management and Public Policy • About 90% of faculty holds Ph.D. from well known academic institutions with considerable industry, teaching and consulting experience.

• Customized Programs and Open Programs • Customized programs are normally long duration and customized to the needs of organization and repeated several times • Open programs are short duration and reflects faculty research and specialization • Programs range from general management to highly specialized functional themes

• Faculty team closely interacts with the management of the client at various levels in designing the program • Programs typically consist of three parts – Classroom interaction with IIMB faculty – Interaction with senior management of the client – Working on a live project under a faculty guide and organization mentor • Offered for Reliance, Siemens, L&T, Hindustan Lever, Indian Hotels, Saint-Gobain, Titan, Cognizant, BEL, Titan Industries, etc. • Nearly 75% of Executive Education Revenue is from customized programs

Open Programs

• About 40 open programs are offered by the faculty working on a particular theme • Programs are generally advanced level and aims for senior management • Faculty members share their research and consulting experience with participants • Programs are normally for 3-day duration • Some open programs are offered with international collaboration – IMPM and ALP

New Initiatives

• Our new programs targeted for middle level managers are offered through distant education mode – Live classroom session is beamed across the country – Next batch will be through video conferencing – Attracts about 150 participants per batch • Another program titled Advanced Financial Risk Management is offered through webcasting – Live classroom sessions are webcasted – Some of our participants are located in U.S. and U.K

Executive Education - Infrastructure

• Five large classrooms with good teaching infrastructure • Comfortable stay facility for executives at our Management Development Centre – 118 air-conditioned rooms – Yoga hall with an Instructor for teaching yoga – Telecommunication, Internet facilities, Computer Lab, mechanized laundry services – Billiards, table tennis tables, and a multi purpose gym
