Our Sponsor - Supervalu
Dear Member,
We are extremely fortunate to have Nally's Supervalu, Trim, as our main sponsor. We as a club would
like to encourage all or members to shop at Nally's. If you have a rewards card for Supervalu could
you please give the number to Janet, at your convenience. The arrangement we have with Supervalu
means, if there is a noticeable increase in business from Trim GAA members we will receive
additional support. Please also note that by giving Janet your loyalty card number it does not affect
your rewards card points, you are still entitled to all promotions which Supervalu have ongoing.
Therefore as you can imagine it is in all our better interest to shop at Supervalu Trim whenever
possible.

KITTY CONROY – AN APPRECIATION
Edition 2
It was with great sadness that Trim GAA club members learned of the death of one of our colleagues Kitty
Conroy.
Kitty was a member of the Trim club since the early 1990’s. In the mid Ninties she got involved in coaching and
managing of juvenile football teams from U10 up to U14 football and in 1997 she managed a Trim U12 football
team to a Meath U’12 football reserve championship. In 1998 she took up the position of Juvenile Secretary for
a two year spell.
Her involvement with the juvenile club coincided with the start of her son James’s playing career as an 8 year old
in 1994. James was an outstanding talent at Gaelic football during his juvenile days and also played with Meath
at U14, U16 and minor level. He quickly progressed on the a very strong Trim Senior football team in 2003 at
the age of 17 years. Kitty and her husband Vincent were dedicated supporters of their son’s sporting activities
until his untimely death at the age of 19 years in 2005. They continued to support the club up the recent times.
Kitty had a great love of sport, especially Gaelic Football, Hurling, Rugby and Soccer and along with her husband
Vincent they were a great supporters of her native Clare in hurling, his native Laois in football, Trim hurling and
football and Meath football.
In her younger days Kitty was a formidable camogie player. During her university days, while training to be a
secondary school teacher, she played with NUI and the Combined Universities. On retiring from the game she
became a camogie referee. During her early teaching career in Meath she played badminton with the Navan
club, Westside, who played their competitions in the Dublin badminton league.
We extend our sympathies to he husband Vincent and her family and friends.
