EAP: A New Kind of Service
• Employees are the driving force behind the growth and

• EAP recognizes that for many employees, personal
problems often arise that leave them unable to bring their healthiest selves to work.
• Getting help early can prevent issues from becoming
problems.
EAP was designed to help you with just about any problem that affects your health and well-being
EAP Help for Anything that Affects Your Health …or Weighs on Your Mind HEALTH FAMILY WORK FINANCES LEGAL STRESS RELATIONSHIPS ALCOHOL OR DRUGS
EAP...
• Is available at no cost to employees and family members.
• Provides you with information, education and support.
• Guides you in making informed decisions.
• Refers you to prescreened resources if you need further services.
• Can follow up with you as needed or desired.
EAP Professionals Include:
• Master’s-level counselors • Attorneys for consultation • Financial specialists for consultation • Resource specialists and convenience services
EAP Is Easy to Use
• Reach EAP by calling • 530 891-1513 or 800-207 7233.
• Counselors or EAP specialists are ready to help.
• You can arrange to talk to a counselor in person; or telephonically.
Confidentiality
• EAP is confidential to the fullest extent of the law.
• No information is released to the employer or other outside caller without the employee’s consent.
• Concerns about confidentiality can be discussed before identifying information is shared.
Possible Exceptions to Confidentiality
Professionals May Be Required To Report:
• Reasonable cause to believe child or vulnerable adult abuse • Threat of serious harm to self and / or others • Court order
Callers are informed of these exceptions early in the call.
EAP For Simpler Issues Resource information issues… • Ask you questions to determine if you need additional help.
• Let you know what to do to get information or support you need • Tell you how to contact the support or resource.
EAP For Single Issues
Someone you love has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. EAP will...
• Educate you about the disease, its symptoms and treatment options; and/or • Provide you with information on how to cope; and/or • Provide a free legal consultation to discuss power of attorney or other issues; and/or • Direct you to support groups in your area.
EAP For Multiple Issues • Talk to a counselor about parenting or relationship issues • Talk to someone about anxiety, depression or other mental health concerns • Obtain a free financial consultation to discuss budgeting, debt handling creditors.
• Discuss stress management techniques with a counselor.
• Obtain a legal opinion
