Secretariat Analysts: Some
facts
The heart of the Secretariat
 TBS analysts make up 22% of the Secretariat’s workforce—the
second largest occupational group.
 Analysts are key to policy and oversight mandates of the
Secretariat and deal with all branches of government—from
Cabinet to line departments and agencies.
A young, dynamic workforce
 57.03% of analysts are under 40.
 The average age of analysts is 39.
Mobility of skills
 Average years of service for analysts is 10.2 years, with 4.8 of
those years at TBS.
 Analysts find it very easy to move into management roles at
TBS and other departments.
