SPEAKER’S PROFILE
Professor Wong Tien Yin
MBBS, MMED, FRCSE, FRANZCO, FAFPHM, MPH, PhD
Professor & Chairman, Department of Ophthalmology,
University of Melbourne, Australia
Consultant Ophthalmologist, Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital
Professor Wong Tien Yin is Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology, the
University of Melbourne and Managing Director of Centre for Eye Research
Australia. He completed medical school from the National University of Singapore
and clinical ophthalmology training at the Singapore National Eye Centre. He also
has a MPH and PhD from the Johns Hopkins University. Professor Wong has
completed two post-doctoral research fellowships at Johns Hopkins and at the
University of Wisconsin, Madison, as well as clinical fellowships at SNEC (Uveitis)
and Westmead Hospital, University of Sydney (Medical Retina).
