SKILLED GRADUATE VISA
Skilled Graduate Visa - Introduction
This visa allows you and any secondary applicants included in your visa
application to remain in Australia for up to 18 months with no restrictions on
work or study. During this period you may choose to :




Travel ( all over Australia )
Work ( anywhere in Australia )
Undertake further professional studies
Study to improve your English skills.
As a Skilled Graduate Visa holder, you may apply for permanent residence
at any time, if you are able to meet the pass mark on the General Skilled
Migration points test.
Who can Apply
 You must be under 31 years of age on the
day of making your application.
 The candidate must have completed an
Engineering degree at a recognized
institution in the last two years.
 This visa does not have points test but other
requirements must be met.

Eligible Qualifications
You must have completed an eligible degree qualification in Engineering in
2013 or 2014 before the date of making your application.
An eligible degree qualification can be any of the following :




A bachelor's degree (B.E.)
A master's degree (M.E.)
A doctoral degree (Ph.D.)
A postgraduate degree
Your degree qualification must contain a major sequence of study or
specialization in an Engineering discipline.

Mechanical, Mechatronics, Production and Plant Engineering

Important : This Visa is only for Non – IT students of 2013 & 2014 batch
coming under Anna University, Chennai. The qualification that you are relying
on to meet this requirement must have been completed at a recognized
institution.

Consolidated Mark statement
IELTS Test Report Form (IELTS-TRF)
Birth Certificate
Health Certificate
Character Certificate ( Police Clearance Certificate )
Evidence to attach with your application (IELTS)
You must provide evidence that you meet the English language threshold
at the time you apply. You need to include one of the following :
 Evidence that you hold an eligible passport.
 IELTS Test Report Form (TRF) Number to show you have a band score
of at least six on each of the four components - speaking, reading,
listening and writing.
Health
You and all secondary applicants must have a health examination.
Medical examination results are only valid for a limited period of time.
Therefore, you and any secondary applicants should not undertake medical
examinations until requested to do so by the department.
Evidence to attach with your application
You must attach a certified copy of a full birth certificate for you and each
secondary applicant included in your application.
If birth certificates are not available in your country of birth, other
evidence to confirm birth details include, but are not limited to :








School records
Passport
Baptism certificate
Family book showing date of birth
ID document issued by government
Hospital birth records
Court documents that verify your date of birth
Copies of military service records or discharge papers.
Proof of age must be included to make your application
complete.
Character
You and any secondary applicants must be of "Good Character". You will
be requiring a Police Clearance Certificate.
Obligations
There are no conditions placed on this visa.
If you are granted this visa, you are able to live and work in any part of
Australia and engage in any type of employment. You and any accompanying
secondary applicants must however comply with Australian laws. Failure to do
so may affect your ability to remain in Australia.
